google format shows games dating back to 2017 too. Weird. I'll edit.

So MSU and LSU

that further proves my point.

Yea. It’s BS. You are focusing on an Outlier. It’s a one off, a rare occurrence. there were other freshman WR who outperformed Judy and ruggs last year. the bama fans who were complaining about Judy and ruggs not being good enough in year one look like fools now don’t they. You gotta be more big picture Bubba. If a wr gives you something his true freshman year you are really really lucky. It is not to be expected.

We got a ton of big plays off of PA this year even with Brossette and CEH

If you have to go play action to complete passes then you don’t have a passing game

Play action is worthless if your run game isn’t working. LSU hasn’t successfully run the ball on Bama since like 2012.

I would love to have E spend some time with Carmichael down in NOLA.

I found that funny as well. Jerry mentioned Gurley and siad "without a running back of his caliber, the Rams offense is going to struggle to run what they do"

Dear God! That's even worse.

So he admitted that the offense they tried to model theirs after may struggle WITHOUT a big time RB.... and then tried to implement that offense at LSU WITHOUT big time RB?!

don't think anyone is saying they know more than those guys. But what those guys are doing isn't working. There have been plenty of coaches, that know a hell of a lot more than you or anyone on this board and completely failed. The ones that succeed self evaluate and adjust what THEY are doing. I know I'm in the minority with people like you, but there needs to be a major philosophical/schematic change on offense.

They may know more than that guy, but they clearly do not know as much as the majority of the offensive coaches around the country.

Worth pointing out you can line up like max protect, especially after doing it against a couple of looks, and still send 3 or more in routes.

It's called deception. You CAN pass out of run formations (as above) with several in routes, or you can run out of pass formations (like the spread) and still have blockers.

Within certain limits, you should be able to run almost any pass play out of any formation (angles & timing apply).

According to Orgeron, you have just witnessed a major philosophical / schematic change on offense. We have now transitioned from a pro style to a spread.

Orgeron said Wednesday on the weekly SEC teleconference that his team is still transitioning from a pro style to more of a spread offense

LOL

Orgeron just apparently forgot to tell his co - oc / passing game coordinator / wr coach that.

This has been my number one complaint about the offense. This wasn't the season to fully implement

Nothing but more than the lack of an explosive back.

Do you have a direct quote? Lord I hope that's not what he actually said.

it is a really bad look that Sullivan gave an interview and said anything publicly. There is nothing he can say that will explain or deflect what were the problems with the scheme this year. He was better off just retiring and disappearing. The things he said on the record will be analyzed and picked apart for days/weeks and will be used to "honestly" negative recruit.

On another note, it is clear defensive players at all levels are getting bigger, stronger, faster. So trying to tighten up the formation and "protect" the QB and pound the football means defensive players have shorter distances to run.

Spreading the field makes the bigger/stronger/faster defensive players have farther to run to get to the point of attack. Sometimes when they get to the ball carrier they miss tackles. All that running adds up to fatigue which leads to mistakes. Jack Elway and Dennis Erickson figured this out in 1980.

They also have check downs & hot routes aka modern day offense.
