He said you limit your options when you spread it out. He said that the biggest plays come off of play action and that's why we go max protect - because we feel that play action is the best. Said that's what they do in the NFL.

Makes sense. We didn't want to limit our options, so we sent 2 WRs into routes and kept everyone else in to protect to, you know, not limit our options.

Yes the NFL was doing that in the 80s and 90s Jerry. We know.

That's old school NFL

Not new school

We need a complete fricking enema of our offense.

In a day where young offensive minds are changing the way offense is played, we had/have two old geezers running ours

He also argued the Model T is the best vehicle on the road.

It’s wild.

You can run PA out of 11 personnel shite you can run it with 1 RB in the backfield.

Unless you have Justyn Ross, apparently.

Actually he said that the Rams use this philosophy with Gurley, you know the team they studied in the offseason, but please, continue bashing a retired guy for no reason.

Did he also advocate for the return of leather helmets?

So much for the coaches taking any notes from Clemson.

Todd Gurley, yes. That's the key. They don't do it with, say, Nick Brossette. He's a good player, but he doesn't hurt you like Todd Gurley does. Concepts are nice, but personnel always matters. It's why we scored in 2016 when we used Fournette to open a down field pass at mid field. It's why we would have likely scored in that game when we put Fournette out in a route. A good throw changes that game.

Good thing we had Todd Gurley in our backfield this year.

Well we didn't have a Todd Gurley caliber back in our backfield to draw the defenses attention. Not surprised Ensminger and company didn't fully think that one through.

And with all that knowledge, they produced 0 points. 0. None. They may know more, but they need to learn EVEN MORE.

We got a ton of big plays off of PA this year even with Brossette and CEH back there.

Yeah, the Rams use this because they have the best running back in the NFL. We had two guys who will struggle to make a roster. What happened to shaping the offense to the players?

The WR can run some type of option route if he has time. Ie more options. this isn’t really ground breaking or anything.
