Jeff Landry is more concerned with his career than the good of the state.
He always has been and always will be

The governor is 100% correct. I bet most of you that are bitching at the governor ever served in the military or had anyone KIA. We are the USA and need to start acting like the USA of old. I love Lsu and our women's BB coach and support her 100% but we need to show our military that we respect them. This is a hot topic and everyone has a point but we need to respect the men and women who died for this country.
He’s a manipulative jackass, and you’re a useful idiot in falling for it. It’s a basketball game. Not every single fricking thing needs to revolve around the US military. We aren’t some dystopian fascist dictatorship, in spite of what the left professes and apparently what you would prefer.

This wasn't political..this was game prep as it has been for 3 years under Mulkey, and always under the football program..you are 100% not understanding what happened Monday night and our Governor is a fricking retard. Our players are not disrespecting ANYTHING about this country...Jesus tap dancing Christ...get with the facts.

I know man. The football argument is such clown talk. I mean look at these spoiled DEI dims at the Army-Navy game. None of those pieces of shite went out for the anthem either.
Need to get each and every one of them out of the services academies seeing as they don't support our country.

protest". The coaches didn't want to have to deal with any issues, good or bad, that could arise from any players "protesting" the national anthem, so they decided moving forward to simply remain in the locker room during the anthem to avoid any controversey...one way or the other. I don't blame them for it. They just want to coach basketball. Not wade into cesspool of vapid virtue signaling. If that could be avoided by remaining in the locker room during the national anthem, so be it.
This is a flat out lie

If it’s actually a protest what are they going to do on active duty?

ULL alum and big fan! Anti-LSU to the core!
Never played sports and doesn't know anything about coaching and playing.
Always has micromanaged and now wants to be the dictator of Louisiana, making all the decisions regarding all issues, including LSU athletics.
Going to be interesting for Louisiana for the next 4 years...

Landry was never qualified to be a governor, but because "he wuzn't a woke dim", he's now our governor.

Our state is such an embarrassment on so many levels.

And you're still wrong because this pregame ritual has been going on for many years before Kaepernick kneeled.
It was LONG commonplace at college basketball games for the players to be on the court while the national anthem was played. That didn't really change until the late 2010's. I know. I was at many on those games.
Ultimately, it doesn't bother me one way or the other. Sometimes I avoid going into a game early just so I don't have to stand simply because I don't feel like doing so. But the whole controversies stems from an illogical basis. For being such a "horrible" country, the USA allows a lot of opportunity to people of all races, gender, creeds, etc. So to stage a "protest" at an event where thousands of people, of many diverse races, viewpoints, creeds, etc paid good money simply to watch YOU perform always seemed counterintuitive to the position the players were trying to advocate.

Louisiana needs to get its shite together. It’s crazy how behind the times the state is and how corrupt it is.

and that's why they want to get rid of the jungle primaries, to make sure the worst possible choices from both sides are all we have to pick from. everyone in this state should be up in arms and calling their reps over that
ETA this is also a group that wants us to trust them to rewrite our constitution. what could go wrong there, right?

Would you like to see the players have enough respect

Man you are dumb
They changed when they played the anthem, the teams didn't change their warmup routine. They still go in the locker room and come out at the same time

The idiot in the governors mansion, who I unfortunately voted for, just made a fool of all of us on Fox News..."If they don't want to come out for the anthem they don't have to play the sport" The mother fricker doubled down on his stupid....Nobody said they didn't want to come out....they were getting ready for the game...What an unmitigated fool. Take that LSU shirt off, you ULL homer pile of crap.
You screwed the pooch on National TV, weirdo.
