JD5. Same song, 2nd verse. Throws are late.

I'm not saying every pass or even for entire drives, but clearly he still struggles with timing on some throws. Is it timidness, trust or something else? Who knows, but he rarely shows consistent crispness on his timing. Simply put the ball comes out late way too often.
I'm not saying Nussmier wins us that game but you can bet that when a receiver makes a break that ball is already halfway there with Nuss under center.
Many other things need to get fixed but it's obvious to me that Florida game Jayden Daniel's from 2022 will only show up on occasion. He's not going to change his stripes after 5 years or so of being a starting QB.
He's an average to mediocre passer with elite legs and that's why he starts. No other reason.
Will he win us a lot of games this year with his skill set? Probably.
Will he win us any significant hardware? Probably not.

And he’s still the best player we have on offense. Our skills positions blow

Our season’s success is contingent on scoring a shite load of points with this secondary so fingers crossed we fix whatever the issue specifically is

If we traded wrs with fsu for the game would you be saying the same thing this morning?

For the love of God
JD is playing the role of a stabilizer getting us through the transition years after Ed O
Do you all not remember the state of this program after the K-State bowl game?

Daniels is an okay QB for an 8-4/9-3 squad. That's his ceiling. The only way LSU could improve is in the air, but he doesn't have that skillset.
Please ban running QBs from LSU.

It’s amazing how mediocre the skill position talent is. Should never happen with LA as your recruiting base.

Our WRs aren’t elite like we think but JD5 does nothing to give them confidence

Yes. If you have Randy Moss out there, he won't get the ball with any consistency

Nuss will at least force defenses to respect the pass and play safeties deep.
I just don't think the offensive talent will be utilized well enough with JD at QB.

Daniels has not progressed, he's still the same as last year. The oline didn't do him any favors last night but I could tell by his demeanor, he wasn't right.

Your dedication to defending Kelly after another national embarrassment is admirable, but misguided.

But he’s got the 2nd best Heisman odds!!! Surely that proves that he had made improvements

They can't think in those terms.
All problems are the qb.

Yes. They dropped as many as we did.

They are terrible. I’m downvoted because they don’t want to admit it, but we don’t have good WRs or RBs

I don’t think you are allowed to call out someone’s defending of someone lol.

If you put either of those guys on a team with a QB who gives them the ball with a chance to be successful they are first rounders.
The amount of money JD is costing his top tier receivers since stepping on campus will be 9 figures by the time he leave.

Purely theoretical but I think it's just indecision. He's always looking to run, it's just who he is.
That makes it harder to block because the rest of the team never knows what he's going to do.

You can tell when a QB has the innate feel for the position - it’s a sense of anticipation and judgment on where, when and how to execute the throw - time on task - that makes everything look more fluid and makes the players around him better. Those traits are not there when you watch Jayden.
