We had 300 in the first half. We had 86 in the 2nd before the meaningless TD. How can people still not understand how to assess football statistics?

OP. You are wasting your time.

A part of this fan base hates him and there is literally nothing he could to change that.

He wasn’t great last night, but any objective person would admit that on the list of reasons we listed, JD probably doesn’t make the top 10.

Yet that’s all they focus on. No blame in the defense, no blame on the bad coaching, no blame on the dropped passes.

Hell they legitimately think that if Nuss had thrown that pass that hit Lacy in stride and in both hands, he would some how have caught it.

Clowns on this board. Big plays always account for a large portion of overall yards.
That context does matter.

For example, our RBs had 12 carries for 49 yards last night, over 4 ypc but wouldn't you say they were any bit effectively? No because we had 1 go for 35 yards, and the other 11 carries for 14 yards.

Like others have said, the majority of his yards came off of 2 plays. Had a terrible back breaking pick and only 1 TD passing. He gets all his yards off safe completions underneath and has ZERO deep ball. He’s 100% peaked as a QB with no improvement from last year. You’ve got to do something else at the QB position for this team to take another step forward on offense.

Only stats that matter are points on the score board, and he's not good at that.

if you think JD is a quality passer, then honestly take a look at the game and compare him with Travis . there is no real comparison. Travis looked down field and delivered some beautiful strikes. JD threw short passes to open receivers on the sideline. if they weren't open, he didn't make the play. yes, he had a couple of drops, but so did Travis. Travis still managed to account for 5 td's.

I would like to know how much of that 400 were YAC.

Same as last year.

Wow! Print the T-shirts.

Statistically you can make an argument that Dak Prescott is a better QB than Patrick Mahomes or Tom Brady if you remove wins and playoff wins and Super Bowl wins.

I’ll still take Mahomes over Prescott.

half of it came off 2 plays 1 of which was like the first play of the game. another was a meaningless BTJ throw late in the game.

If Lacy catches that third down he had a free shot at the end zone for 50 yards. It goes both ways.

bssically everyone position unit sucked last night

The place kicking/XP unit looked good. Didn't get much chance to fail though. And the punting unit was fine too.

Now punt and kick-receiving teams did kinda suck to varying degrees.

Garbage stats. He threw one successful pass that was over 12 yards in the air and they gave that one to him
Wish BTJ didn’t drop the bomb at the 10 yd line going into the 4th qtr. would’ve had opportunity to tie game rather than losing game right then and there.

Raw stats dont tell the story. Sustaining drives and converting RZ opportunities into TDs is what matters. Some of that could be playcalling. If Nuss gets a shot in meaningful situation these are the criteria for comparison.

We had potentially 38 pts on the board in the middle of the 3rd if we converted those 1sthalf RZ trips and sustained our first possession in the
third. We could have been leading 38-17… with a qtr and a half remaining.

I thought Daniels play well enough. He got a little rattled and wasn’t in mid season form but he produced for us as a facilitator. He was limited by scheme and play calling and it was obvious.

Denbrock, House, and Kelly are not it and they will never be it. I mean they outsmarted themselves and choked in the second half.
