re: Donte Jackson gets called out for low tip - Diogi
Give it up pal...anybody who would believe you would be incredibly naive. Also, all the comments alluding to the excuse that "maybe the service was bad" are laughable. Like I said before...it's a black thing. I didn't say "all black people" are like this, nor did I say that all white people tip g...

re: Donte Jackson gets called out for low tip - Diogi
It's a black thing. It usually goes hand in hand with giving the waitress a hard time and complaining about the service or the food, to try to get their meal free. I saw Deion Sanders on network TV saying that he never tips. ...

Preferred Walk-on Quarterbacks - Diogi
We all know the story of Baker Mayfield, walking on at two different colleges, and subsequently winning the Heisman. My question is: Has any preferred walk-on quarterback ever been relevant at LSU? Why do they sign on? I see where some have offers from other places(small schools). Does the coachin...

re: What is it about LSU that keeps them from getting top QB prospects? - Diogi
I believe that a poor reputation with quarterback play is responsible for this, and lack of direction in the players they recruit is the reason for poor quarterback play. Pedigree is very important IMHO. My favorite LSU QB of all time is Bert Jones. Bert's father Dub Jones was an NFL player and N...

re: Is it safe too say that we finally have a good Qb situation? - Diogi
I totally agree with you about them wasting a year of Brennan's eligibility. See my post of 10/11/17, and the replies of 34 morons. The hand writing was on the wall when , in an interview prior to being awarded the HC job, Coach O said he preferred a Pro style QB. In interview right after being n...

Also, Bobby Morrow of Abiline Christian was co-holder with Dave Sime at one time. The German Sprinter someone refered to was Armin Hary...he won the 1960 Olympic 100 meter dash....

re: How fast was Billy Cannon? - Diogi
I entered LSU in 1958 also. He trained under Alvin Roy, but I don't believe it started before he was enrolled at LSU. If you remember, back then freshmen played on the freshmen team. This was the rule...no exceptions...basically a wasted year. I was not yet on campus for his freshman year, but I ...

re: How fast was Billy Cannon? - Diogi
No that is not Don "scooter Purvis", that is Ralph Fabian. Don Purvis was not on the track team. Purvis was a short-legged, shifty runner...not a particularly speedy guy. ...

Billy Cannon's back injury - Diogi
I believe it was the 3rd game(Oilers vs Chargers) of the AFL 1962 season. I recall Cannon lying face down and a big defensive lineman came running, jumped up and landed both knees in the middle of cannon's back. The play was over...it was deliberate late hit to take him out of the game. He was ne...

re: How fast was Billy Cannon? - Diogi
I was a 17yr. old freshman...I saw several meets. One I remember he ran a 9.4 100...but that one was not recorded because of a crosswind which slightly exceeded what was allowed. It was a CROSSWIND! How fast was he? That's easy . he was a little faster than whoever was gonna finish second that da...

re: How fast was Billy Cannon? - Diogi
I was at LSU during his time there. He ran the 100 and the 220 and he also put the shot. There was another sprinter at LSU named Ralph Fabian. Fabian was a slender-built guy. If you compared them to horses, Canon was the quarter horse and Fabian the Thoroughbred. When the starting gun went off.....

Pitching talent evaluation - Diogi
How does other teams have so much more quality pitching. Seems like every year the tigers have one top pitcher, a marginal #2, and then there's the rest of the guys. Are there no scholarships to offer? Who evaluates this talent, and what's at all special about Alan Dunn ...

re: Will Guice have to change his running angry style in the NFL? - Diogi
His elusiveness made him great last year. I saw a much less elusive Guice this year. If he doesn't get back to last year's elusiveness, he may take a pounding in the NFL. ...

re: Danny was a step slow yesterday - Diogi
I believe that his skill set is better than people on this board gave him credit for. I think that the reciever corps was sub-par (for LSU). That Canada's system was not mastered by the other players, and there was some confusion on the field. ...
