The Governors of this state have been involved with LSU for as long as it has been a state school. Go research the bullshite that occurred around hiring FKA and tell me if the governor was involved.

This stuff is nothing. Just another thing for people to overanalyze. I'm pretty sure politicians are allowed to be fans.

I find it a little perplexing that the governor of the state would want to be texting this much about the eligibility of one of many College basketball players with in his state.

My season tickets in the PMAC have a direct line of sight to where he usually sat along the baseline. I made all but 2 home games. He was there with frequency and sat 5 rows in front of me in the Capital One Arena in DC.

Dude is just a basketball fan. I can hate his politics, but I'm not going to clown on him for asking like any of us would have done if we had cell numbers of James Williams, Alexander, and Alleva.

They conveniently left out the info about deposits.

Only in Louisiana does a governor communicate with a notable person in his own profession whom he personally appointed to a major board of supervisors..... Perception bias much?

Lol I thought that was funny that was omitted. I’m sure the omission falls under a statute about ongoing investigations

Yeah, this narrative is not supported by the exchanges. The Gov. simply asks the status.
I see nothing where he has attempting to influence anybody toward any action.
He's doing the same thing any enthusiastic fan would do if he happened to be Governor.

Yeah, that was after the decision was already made.

Williams shared a lot of info in those texts that he wouldn't have if they were trying to be sneaky in any way shape or form.

If they were really worried about the content of their convo, there wouldn't be any texts at all.

Like I said, this is a witch hunt for Conservatives that don't like JBE therefore everything he does must be evil.

I don't care for his politics either but the dude didn't do anything other than get updates on what the BOS decided to do.

curious. I mean the guy is from LA and went to LSU, he's probably a die-hard fan like any of us.

The same guy who threatened to shut down LSU football if he didn’t get what he wanted?

I don't have an issue with him wanting to know things.

My issue is that all sides of this were talking about this amingsth themselves and feeding the fans complete bullshite about the entire situation.

That's classic lefty scare tactics. It had nothing to do with his fandom.

In fact his fandom may have fueled it because he knew how much it would hurt him personally if LSU didn't have a football season.

No one asked you.
The OP clearly showed just how much he was “up in their business.”

The Governor is a local politician? I can guarantee you that every Governor is a "celebrity" in his or her state

Because it was the right thing to do at the time when Wade refused to meet them. Wade himself said that

“ I don’t care for his politics ....”

I don’t recall saying anything about the man’s party affiliation.

LSU is basically a state agency. No surprise that the governor wanted an update on a huge national story taking place there. He is the ultimate boss.
