Jayden Daniels Top 10 graded QB by PFF in 2022

Nobody cares. Nobody.

JD5 is the starter next year.

It’s already decided and publicly announced by CBK.

These threads are now unnecessary. No need to convince anyone anymore.

OK. So what? Those stats do not account for plays NOT MADE that could have been made.

Show us the stats for that. And also for every other qb in college football.

Joe Burrow didn't throw a touchdown in the entire month of October in 2018.

They are literally grading film, if there's a play to be made downfield that isn't, they 100% get dinged for it

They realize, like most rational LSU fans, that Jayden as a total package is a net positive to his team. He ain't perfect, but he's pretty good.

I know that those QB ratings are extremely close together but seeing Travis #1 and that NC QB as high as he is rated surprised me.

You can break the top 10 into three tiers 1-4, 5-7, 8-10. Each tier is very tight with little separation.

The only people that don’t think Jayden Daniels is a good QB are LSU fans.

Funny how we hate a QB that can make plays with is feet. Yet in the history of the NFL, 17 of the top 20 seasons with the most rushing attempts by QB have occurred in the last 16 seasons. The top 5 (Lamar Jackson (3X), Jalen Hurts, Justin Fields) have occured in the last 3 seasons. Cam Newton (4X), Josh Allen (2X) are also in the top 20 along with Kyler Murray and Michael Vick.

The NFL changes.
LSU fans never change.

Does this rating factor in when he refused to throw the ball down field and checked it down or ran for 3 yards instead?

You mean how that helped make us 9th in offensive efficiency and 28th in total offense in a year where we were supposed to finish last in the west and instead won it?

No but you keep crying. We enjoy watching your butthurt little temper tantrums.

Auburn shut Burrow down both years for the most part.

The stats are the stats. They don’t care about personal feelings.

2022 Jayden and 2021 Max accounted for the same number of TD’s, and Max did it in 12 games instead of 14.

This is obviously all a doctored conspiracy. The Rant told me JD was at least 10-12x worse than the worst game Jefferson, Lee, and Jennings, or Harris ever played.

Spot on.

This is how PFF describes the way they rate quarterbacks:

quote:

Nothing paints a picture quite like the five numbers most commonly associated with a quarterback’s performances — completions/attempts/yards/touchdowns/interceptions — and the corresponding passer rating that is formed by using those numbers. A line of 24-35-350-3-0 implies an outstanding effort by the quarterback and spits out a “perfect” passer rating of 158.3, while a 15-30-148-0-2 line implies a difficult game and a passer rating of only 68.2. However, the stat line is missing the nuance of each play with regard to the quarterback’s supporting cast and the quality of his opposition.

At PFF, we look beyond the stats on a play-by-play basis, often giving out the same grade on plays with drastically different results. That’s the important part to grasp when using the PFF system, it’s an isolation of the quarterback’s role on a given play, providing context to where the stats are achieved. Because passer rating is so dependent on receivers, offensive linemen and even the quality of the defense, it’s a better stat to define the passing game as a whole rather than isolating it as an indicator of quarterback play.

Definitely accounts for the very small amount of picks he DID NOT THROW... 1 less INT than Nuss who threw 300 less passes
