That’s extremely impressive for a qb in a RPO spread system!! Under Denbrock and coach Kelly tutelage, kid have a chance to be extremely special this year IF he starts!!

That's 3.89 secs to cover forty yards. running from a stopped position, like a forty, is of course different.

It may not be a top skill but you can’t teach it so …

It will serve him well vacating the pocket when there’s pressure. His feet are quick too. Turn a sack into 2nd & 5 , that changes things

I haven’t participated in many of any QB threads, but there is definitely appeal to daniels just because of his legs. He is borderline elite as an open field runner for any position.

Nothing breaks down a game plan like a QB that can get to the sticks with his legs.

Kind of excited to see a QB with the ability to take it to the house on plays that most QBs would be trying to just get enough for a 1st down.

Just curious about where you've seen a good deep ball from JD. Not saying he doesn't have one, but the videos I've seen had receivers open by 5-10 yards. Doesn't take a fantastic deep ball to hit a guy that open.

I hope you're right!

It could be REAL important this year……for the QB. I hope I’m wrong but I don’t think the O-line will be able to protect. We will have to run the ball.

I agree with you gorilla
What do people think made Burrow so good?
He was able to read a defense and get rid of the ball. The best offense against a good defense is getting rid of the ball quickly to his playmakers.
Besides running the ball on designed runs a qb should run only when needed like Joe did… just saying

This caused involuntary nervous laughter.

I have faith in this line coming together over the course of the season, but there's gonna be a learning curve that's gonna hurt.

Sometimes hitting the guys that are wide open is even harder. When there’s a 4.4 WR hauling arse down field and you want to hit them in stride you better have a cannon. Joe couldn’t even consistently hit Jamarr in stride.
