You’re absolutely right. I just find it entertaining to watch the rollercoaster of emotions with some of our fans..
I actually think LSU has a good chance to win 2 next weekend. That would also guarantee us a high 2 seed. IMO a high 2 is better than a low 1

It's not a matter of relaxing. That was as desperate and STUPID of a coaching move as we've ever seen.
Just idiotic and again, desperate coaching

Johnson guessed wrong every game this weekend, and that’s hard to do…..Vegas should hire him away from us

So Rantz was right

I made a joke yesterday about how we wouldn’t be bitching had it worked out but seriously it’s pretty shitty

The life of a coach, a bunch of fans with hindsight questioning a decision he makes. If the decision would have worked than no one would have had a problem with it.

Was it unconventional? Yes but he was trying to give us an advantage to win the game, get over it. The team has a lot left to play for. We should hit better in the Tournament when Berry comes back and hopefully Dugas comes back then as well.

Side note, with Dugas' injury hopefully he comes back and plays 3rd base next season.

Jay needs to remember he’s not on the West Coast anymore and to leave the 2008 UC Irvine style shite at home.

LSU fans when the coach doesn’t make adjustments: “Fire the coach! He doesn’t make adjustments!”

LSU fans when the coach makes an adjustment: “Fire the coach! Strategy is chicken shite! Leave that shite in the PAC 12!”

We really are a braindead fan base.

I assume If there are less lefty’s in the lineup it worked.

One thing about Johnson is that for better or worse he really believes in l/r matchups

Which I think Is important on a macro level; you need lefties in your lineup of team will just pitch lefties at you nonstop

But sometimes I feel like he does stuff like this or pinch hits a weaker batter to get the matchup he wants vs just letting a better hit swing it.

They would have started the same lefties in the same order if we had started Hasty.

I'm not sold on Jay's philosophy of loading the lineup with LH bats. That may be true when teams don't have competent LH pitching to throw at you but, with the exception of Woods from UGA and maybe 1 other guy, SEC LHP has shut us down.

I dojt Think you could argue our lineup is loaded with lefties.

We have 2 and a switch hitter.

It's kind of hard to argue that Johnson hasn't been a douche. His delays in the game to slow down the opposing pitcher would drive LSU fans nuts if it was the other coach. I've seen him take the maximum amount of time on the mound during a pitching change...even when his pitcher is ready and not even throwing anymore. He has some belief in these type of interruptions. This move was incredibly Bush league.

Overall from a results standpoint, I think Johnson has done a good job. The staff we have is really not good enough. But, over the last two weeks, he's injured his staff's confidence pretty significantly. Dutton on Sunday was a work in progress, but it was a situation that was getting better and wasn't even close to the biggest problem in the rotation (Money). He pulled Dutton very early last week (albeit in the midst of some trouble) and this week destroyed him. What's he going to do now on Sunday? Saturday is already a problem.

It's not outside of the realm of possibility that this team goes on a major slide to end the season. And, it if that happens, I believe Johnson would have played a major part in that.

It was supposed to be 1 batter, not 1 pitch. Unfortunately, we gave up a hit on 1 pitch.
