Jay Johnson gets a mulligan this year after two championships, but if this year’s record becomes a repeat he should be history in Baton Rouge.
I was hoping he would do something about his portal scouting for transfer talent. Whoever thought Zack Yorke was a replacement for Jared Jones was a complete swing and miss. Or, like Zack, a take third strike.
If they have to make a decision about Jay Johnson, I would go after Wes Johnson hard. He may be the best coach in college baseball, and we had him as our pitching coach.

I am okay with this right now. I am giving everyone a mulligan for this year.

OKay Jay. RUN IT BACK to 23 and 25 results with that Staff.

Either FIX IT or become known as "Shrimpy" Johnson as just another LSU HC that won a NC then tanked the program for 2 years a la Shrimpy Orgeron. (O should be perfectly in place in his current position assisting with the DL and Recruiting because he's very good in both of those areas)

Interesting move. Worst LSU pitching staff from an execution standpoint in memory.

Didn’t seem to hurt us last year though did it?

You do realize it’s much more about the “Jimmy and Joe’s” , rather than the “X’s and O’s”

Crazy thing abut Wes is he is winning with hitting and not pitching. Not sure if they win it all this year, but there lineup (1-9) is scary good.

We should look at their hitting coach and/or recruiting coordinator.

His future is fine. Anyone who thinks differently has major issues.

Those pitching staffs were light years better than what is on the current staff. Comparing Apples to Oranges. Go find 5 more Anderson/Eyasons then.

We have the guy who helped develop them on staff.

I'm seeing a lot of mediocrity accepting and excuse spewing trash in both baseball and softball threads. (Really All LSU Sports)

Don't Get It. Don't get it at all.

I guess it's a symptom of being imprisoned in Louisiana for too long.

The entire Louisiana "Culture of Mediocrity" has been thoroughly infused into your consciousness and can't be removed.

Are you arguing that this team wasn’t as good as lasts year’s? Because everyone knows that. And BTW, last year’s team won the whole thing with only two “Anderson/Eyansons” so why do we need five?
