That’s what I was thinking. They have to let us field a team… the move to a ruling seems too late.

I would assume she is here through her contract - which put her at the correct amount of years for her retirement. That is what all the reports said in the beginning when she came here. Equal money and a contract long enough to accrue the correct years in the system.

He said in multiple interviews he wants to develop more from within. Felt burned by their portal evils this year and wants to now use the portal as a supplement not for the whole roster.

I think any of the international rules would have to go into effect next year. The portal is closed, guys have made decisions, rosters have been set… unless they want a giant lawsuit they will have to grandfather them in.

The original poster was just saying Verge came over and was a nice guy. Welcoming. Very Louisiana like. And yall all take it to the negatives of he isn’t making any decisions and why he was hired etc. it really must be terrible being so miserable all the time and never seeing anything positive in anything. I agree with the OP Verge is a great guy and represents LSU well.

If yall think it’s just a 30 day head start you are crazy. Over the course of the season with how in the mix agents are I am sure he has been rolling for quite some time. Money squared up and ready.
There have been great players here in the last however many years and I’m sure those players have turned into even better people. Even those players who have transferred. I would love it if we could use this space to celebrate them and support them. Apparently, Marks daughter is pregnant and crushing life. I saw Carly Hoover just recorded her 800th career Japan strikeout. So many good things to celebrate, which is what is as fans spend 4 years doing with them. Instead of arguing and dragging players through the mud… let’s celebrate with them. Be joyful. Remember that this is a game.
