you can tell he grew up following LSU baseball during the Bertman years and it left a mark on him. Those press conference he talked about may have been on TV, but he chose to watch them and not do something else. This is clearly a place he dreamed about coaching and being at.

He’s got moxie. He knows his opening statement is for thanking and reminiscing. He knows the technical stuff about staff and strategy will come with the media questions.
