How do we know the broad isn’t lying?
If you video someone without them knowing, why would you let them go through the device the video is on?
Sounds like a bitter chick that got fricked and ducked

definitely. Its not the start of season until we are waiting to see if some players will be eligible because of conduct or academics
The truth behind this statement is very unfortunate. Its every year....

Yep you can always count on late July/ August arrests

Yeah, but it's also easy to claim he informed her before. Especially if they were drinking.
I have a daughter and I would be mortified, BUT I would also hold her accountable for being somewhere with someone she didn't fully know or trust.
Would I want it deleted? Yes
I would not want a young man's life ruined over a video of 2 consenting participants
Now if he was sharing it, I'd want more stringent actions.
No one has all details yet. But these higher profile kids get falsely accused all the time. I'd film some things too, especially audio showing consent.

Sex tape?
Seems to be. Without consent.

Of course no one would do something stupid like that. They would do something even dumber and show it a bunch of people and text/snap it out to others.

THIS!
Everyone is DVing my post, but I take it that none of these guys has ever been falsely accused of rape (BTW neither have I). Whether or not you are guilty, the video can show proof of innocence. Just the legal fees can approach 6-figures, guilty or otherwise. And to settle costs $$ as well.

Whenever a player gets arrested, there is always a shortage of information, and there are always people that assume the worst and fill in the blanks. Some of you (that have likely never even met Javien) have already compared him to Cecil Collins. I would urge everyone to have a little patience and let the facts come out before condemning him.
I have never met Javien, but I know someone that works in his high school, and I recently discussed this matter with them. They were utterly shocked, and couldn't imagine Javien doing something like that. They said that Javien was always very respectful to women. After our discussion, I think it is much more likely that this is a good kid that made a really bad mistake (either through ignorance, stupidity, or bad advice) than it is that we have a sexual predator on the team. If that's the case, he should be able to find a way to work his way out of this, and work his way back onto the team.
So, I would suggest we let the facts come out before we toss one of our own to the wolves.
(Edited to remove a typo)

If she gave him consent to film, why would he go through the trouble of hiding the camera in a clock?

I mean, he most likely did what he was arrested for. He will most likely get off with a slap on the wrist/charges dropped b/c he is a football player and we will offer the girl some $$ in exchange for her "cooperation". Then you will have some posters chastise other posters for jumping the gun until all the facts come to light.

quote:I agree. I'm not condoning what he did. I'm merely pointing out that there's a difference between someone that can't keep out of trouble and someone that is generally a good person that makes a really bad mistake. The latter will generally accept responsibility and do what it takes to make amends somehow.

He probably isn't very smart. Either she already knew the password or he didn't have one.

Why are you making it seem like I'm the one that said that shite

So , when you decide that there is a huge difference between "criminal" and a "good person who makes a really bad mistake", you are making a distinction that the law typically does not make in deciding guilt or innocence. And what you may be suggesting is that people you know or like aren't criminals.
Whatever he did here, it is hard to suggest it was through inadvertence or a "mistake"
He knew what he was doing.
If what he was doing was a crime, he is a criminal. .

So the solution is to knowingly commit a felony and likley ruin the girl's life just in case....

As yet, there doesn't appear to be any information on the extent of their relationship. He was certainly wrong regardless, but if she's just screwing a random football player she met at a 4th of July party, Daddy needs to sit down and have a talk with his Little Princess.
