Ghilhool is more of a perimeter player right now which is probably why he was going to be redshirted. He can play outside, good passer, can shoot but you’re right, he’ll likely have to try to play 4 with the injury. Dunno if he’s physically able to bang down low, we may see Sutton paired with another SF instead if Ghil can’t hold up.

The wheels really fell off last season when he went out with an injury, but this year's roster should manage better.

A lot has been made about the current kenpom metrics...for good reason. It's the best LSU has ever been under McMahon. But that cuts both ways. Last year those same metrics weren't great...even before Reed's injury. Point being, the wheels were likely going to fall off regardless. It just may not have been quite as severe on some nights.

I’m guessing Gilhool is nowhere near ready. Could really use some minutes from him here or there.

at the open practice gilhool looked very awkward and raw.

he was very very big tho.

I am concerned because nwoko tends to foul and depth is needed. of course Miller is good but he is yet to fulfill his immense potential. maybe this will spur him to become more aggressive and confidence with more playing time without reed.

coach always says reed is the most LSU loyal guy and reed himself always talks about how much he loves it here, and how student managers would come to his dorm with meals and shite, just general concern for him shown during his injury kept him in good spirits.

sucks for that guy.

for the team I don't think its a big of a blow as one might imagine, with nwoko being really pretty damn awesome.

It's a weird thing because the second- team offense will probably flow much better without him, but he was always good for a tough layup or rebound when you needed it. SEC play is where we'll miss him dearly.

The way I always viewed Reed is when he wants to play to his level, he is pretty dominant, he did not often get to that level though and stay there was the biggest problem. Lots of inconsistencies in effort IMO

Yea I think this might be the first course of action,

Sutton Spends some minutes at the 4 and you have Carter/King split some time at the 3
