He's truly coaching in the kitchen now. If he understands the intensity, he will be aggressive in grading his staff's performance. He did allude to this at his presser.

If not, then he really has dementia or DGAF.

I don't care about a staff shakeup. I want to see him take his hands off the offense

One indicates the other. BUT, he did mention the "engine", so the premise will not change.

My original post goes to defense as well.

He has been told, indirectly, to fix it by next year or enjoy your retirement. People on this board that think he will stay stubborn are nuts. If he stays with the we are gonna run it down everyone's throats or lose cause I'm going to do it my way approach, he will not be at LSU after next year.

We'll see if the man changes but if the past is any indication...

I think BDP is more important to Less miles than people think. I think he stands there and gives Less critical game information so Less can make the right calls. Luckily no major changes will be made. I think he should go ahead and let cam go and not hire another OC no sense in paying a figurehead

I tend to agree with this. We'll see how much he thinks we need to change but the notion he's going to just flip the bird to everyone and keep status quo is silly.

I am a not near as strong anymore CLM fan, but when a HC will have had 5 OC's in 11 yrs if he fires Cam, it's beyond obvious that it is not the OC, it is the HC's fault. There were several tv shots of Cam in the press box, showing him looking very frustrated; question is, was it over the players' performances or CLM changing his play call?

Pretty much. He has one year. He can continue to do it his way, and if so and the results are the same he'll be out next year.

If he just got the frick out of his own way, hired someone to handle the offense with complete autonomy, and focused on recruiting like a mad man, he could be cashing $5mil per year checks for the next decade.

Where thing would get really tricky is if Les keeps doing it his way, and goes something like 11-2 with two bad losses and the same head scratching offense...which is entirely possible with what we have coming back next year. That puts us in a real bind.

Has there ever been a bigger "If"?

I am depressed as well.

Stubborn people don't change their ways.. Les is the most frustrating HC around.. We'll always win enough games with the talent to "get by"
