So wait. He deserves the huge raise he was given and coach of the year honors and heaps and heaps of praise for 2019, but he doesn't deserve criticism and heat for producing one of the worst teams since maybe Curley's time?

You are d e l u s i o n a l !!!!

There is no excuse for the pathetic product on the field this year.

Yes. If you are giving him credit for last year, then you need to hold him accountable for this year. Yes a lot of players left, but Coach O has done a poor job managing the roster. The 2018 class was a bust, and the 2019 class isn't looking so great outside of a few players. Yes a lot of coaches left, but he made some bad hires to replace them.

People knew this was going to be a down year. However, at the end of the day, there is still too much talent on the roster for LSU to be performing this poorly, and that is what people are upset about.

Yeah perfect circumstances playing 7 top 10 teams. Absolutely ripe opportunity for a guy that can’t coach. Totally. Literally with a team of underdogs.

Ok man

Coach O deserves credit for everything good, and nothing bad

You are just as irrational as those you are preaching against

I love Coach O, but I just don't believe he's capable of running a college team like LSU for a sustained amount of time. Winning cures all ills, but losing shows the cracks. I don't believe that Coach O is a particularly smart man. He is passionate about what he does, LSU and the game of football.

However, my main concern is with his coaching hires. Subtract Brady from the mix and what are you left with?

He only confirmed my fears as to his capabilities when he went out and hired an old, washed up DC.

If Coach O flips it around next season, I'll be the first person in line to eat my crow. And, I sincerely hope I get to see what it tastes like with a little salt.

And I 100000% believe he makes a fantastic OC hire this off season while relegating Ensminger to QB/TE coach with same recruiting duties.

He just decided to mix it up and make horrible hires this last offseason to keep things from getting stale?

I mean he's shite the bad this season with other teams around us having to play under the same circumstances.

Every good team loses players and coaches. It's part of the ongoing game of being a good team.

Huge difference between being held accountable and literally having zero confidence in a “shrimp boat captain.” Being held accountable is justified criticism with thoughts and ideas to correct the problem. Saying “lightning in a bottle” is the opposite of giving credit for last year. That’s my point.

Last years credit to O= LIGHTING ONE HIT WONDER

What’s the difference between that and criticism? Anything after that is just baseless piling on labeled as criticism.

He gets no credit for last year other than being called lucky.

I have criticized everything worth criticizing this year. I’m not pumping sunshine. It’s called being fair and not being a moron with a clear agenda towards O.

So let me get this straight. You think he should be held accountable for the worst LSU team in 20 years. You’re just offended by the insults he gets. I can live with that.

No in fact I'd add a competent defensive coordinator to that list.

Last weekend was the defense we all thought we would get and we finally got it. Combine that with the offense Brennan was producing before getting hurt (that most thought we WOULDNT get) and that’s a far cry from the worst team in 20 years. My point is the talent and pieces are there just missing a few. And to act like this program is in a complete free fall with no chance of being salvaged under O is absurd. And yeah the 7th grade hurling of insults and disrespect is also unwarranted for a man who just brought LSU the best season in history.

I think there will be hires made here but I also do not believe in a regular season we have near the same issues you’ve seen this year. Hell swapping Clark for Baskerville was huge. I don’t think Pelini is as bad as what we’ve seen this year either but I agree help is needed.

It’s people they live very insecure lives that get off watching others deal well with tough times while they suck back and barely make ends meet in life

I didn’t like the O hire, was angry when it happened, even angrier with the 2017 season...but he won me over with the 2018 Fiesta Bowl season. The national title season cemented my support for Coach O.

This year has been disgusting to watch, but I think/hope O can get us back on track in 2021.

He still has my support. But I need to see us get back on track with 9+ wins next season, preferably 10+.

he better get rid of linehan he’s terrible And Pelini was a strange hire as he hasn’t been a DC since 07. There was no need to pay him that salary.
