Re-emerge with their same tired comments derogatorily tearing down Coach O. From his personal life (the divorce) to the shrimp boat captain references questioning his coaching ability, to the completely unsubstantiated allegations that he’s at fault for the domestic abuse/rape situation. It’s like watching the same bad movie from 2017 after the Troy loss only worse. They then switch to the riveting lightning in a bottle phrase pinning last season on O “lucking up” with a generational talent at QB. Really?

When O went out and FIXED LSU’s offensive woes by signing Burrow he was FAR from a “generational talent.” Not to mention winning huge recruiting battles to sign the talent to surround him. Many here and nationally weren’t sold on Burrow and O even after 2018’s 10 win season. So then O goes out and gets Brady. And the credit for that hire was gone as soon as he left to become an NFL OC. So now in a historical season clouded by a national pandemic, after losing our starting QB, and PERHAPS questionable DC /PGC hires, the same “fans” refuse to believe O can right he ship. Instead of getting behind the guy that relentlessly defies odds and redeems himself, they choose to ridicule, belittle and doubt.

Well good. Continue to make your small comments that come from your small world. O is about to sign another top 5 class full of elite talent on both sides. I also have complete confidence that he will make the hiring decisions needed to bring this team back to where it was a year ago. Why? Bc he has proven he can do it. He knows what the weaknesses and missing pieces are and he addresses them. His players believe and respond to him as evidence of his record following a loss. There’s NEVER a let down game following a loss. That’s a vastly underrated mark of an excellent head football coach. Obviously Saturday will most likely bring an end to that record but that’s unfortunate scheduling, not the team playing uninspired. However I do think the game is far closer than the spread or many of you believe it will be.

LSU will be back on track next year, they will win 10 games and be in it for everything behind a healthy Myles Brennan and a more seasoned group of players. Before O’s time is up here he will win more conference and national titles. And all the doubters and haters will always be quick to deflect credit and make excuses as to why the clueless shrimp boat captain who couldn’t cut it at ole miss somehow continues to win football games.

TL;DR: All the O haters and doubters can blow me.

I just want him to hire competent offensive coordinators, is that too much to ask?

It’s not. And I 100000% believe he makes a fantastic OC hire this off season while relegating Ensminger to QB/TE coach with same recruiting duties.

Crawling out of the woodwork.

I'm not happy with him this year but I've been here through thick and thin, unlike many others.

O deserved all the credit in the world for having the best LSU season of all time

He also deserves all the heat for having potentially one of the worst lsu seasons of all time

Does he though? And more specifically does he deserve the junior high like ridicule insulting the mans IQ along with ZERO confidence that he can right the ship in spite of what we’ve already seen him do?

Ide love to see the list of coaches who would have a better record than LSU this year given the roster losses, pandemic, schedule, etc....

The list would be small. Very very small.

It's humorous seeing the Orgeron Sycophants not understanding that Orgeron caught lightning in a bottle. Orgeron knew nothing about Brady's abilities, signed a QB from OSU, that couldn't get on the field, and never fully appreciated Aranda's ability to adapt and get the best out of his defenders.

I'd love to see it, but sorry, I'm afraid Burrow and Brady were a one-hit wonder (will you allow me to use this phrase, since you don't like "lightning in a bottle"?).

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think I am.

childish

somewhat deserved

We have not seen him take one of the worst teams in the SEC and turn it around to being a contender. Because that is what lsu is this year, one of the worst teams in the sec. Think about that

Goes both ways

As poor as the circumstances were this year, last years circumstances were that perfect for a CEO type coach

Yeah perfect circumstances playing 7 top 10 teams. Absolutely ripe opportunity for a guy that can’t coach. Totally. Literally with a team of underdogs.
