I would think so but with how bad this year is I hope the program isn’t slipping. Maybe 2023 and last year were the outliers?. But I’m fine with a down year if they comeback and win a national championship next year. Time will tell.

I don't know. Are we gonna lose our 2 best pitchers and 2 fielders for the majority of SEC play every year?

You can hope that it is. What’s giving me pause is that the coaching staff, including Jay, were speaking very highly of this team and its talent. To misjudge your team so badly after promoting them so highly is what gives me pause that this may be more normal than unique.

Bro. We won a title just last year.

In 5 seasons here Jay has 2 titles.

Just take a step back and trust he will get it fixed.

A down year means you travel to a regional. This is an abomination and an embarrassment.

Were we good before they got hurt?

Likely . I mean I’m not happy either. But we did win in 2023 and 2025. There’s something to be said for that…

Those titles aren’t going away. Rest of SEC can only dream of that.

Give Jay a chance to fix it. Thanks in advance

3/5 years Jay has had a subpar or worse result. Seems like the two championship years are the outliers.

You ever been a coach or a leader?
Prob not.
You sound like a pussy.

What do you want Johnson to say?
Temper your expectations, we’re gonna suck?

On one hand, losing 2-4 players shouldn't make us this deep in the whole.

On the other hand, yeah this year is an outlier calm down.

Last year was the outlier. A fluke.

The team with Skenes/Crews/Tommy/Morgan was legit.

This year is awful. I don’t wanna see this crap about JJ being the best coach in college baseball. Nick Saban would never go 3-9 in Year 5

Well only 1 out of the entire NCAA wins it so isn’t the NC always the outlier? This year sucks but patience is a virtue and time will tell.

Not the point. And I have coached my kids and I’m quite hard on them and have gotten my kids and others out of baseball and soccer due to lack of focus and discipline.
My point is not that he was talking positively about the team, it is that he was going out of his way to speak very highly of the team and its talent. Going so far as to say that there were a dozen pitchers on this team that could be weekend pitchers, and that this was his most talented team. That’s what I’m referring to—his over estimation of how good this team actually is.

The board's resident Jay ball washer is in full defense mode. I hope you're getting paid to put in the work
