I'm not saying he's bad. I'm not saying I don't want him. He's the 2nd best coach we've ever had, and I wouldn't trade him in a heartbeat.

But the best coach in college baseball doesn't let a catastrophe of a season like this happen. There's having losing seasons, and then there's letting your entire program unravel.

We were rank 2, started out the season 10 wins.

We end the season with an SEC average that if were a breathalyzer test wouldn't get us a DUI, getting swept by Georgia and Aggie for the first time, and basically have no hope or any bright spot to look at for next season.

Seasons like this are program enders, I don't think many of you are considering that and just automatically assume JJ will have it all fixed next year. Is that an automatic given though in this era?

I want to say yes, and his track record for it is amazing, but this season can't just be buried under the rug and forgotten.

The idea was likely that because Guidry is an emotional player, you put him in during perhaps the most clutch moment of the season and if he makes it out, he gets a fire lit under his arse and the morale skyrockets.

Unfortunately, this is Gavin Guidry we’re talking about. I think i trust Rizy more than him at this point.
