'Faulk Em' was the best cheer ever in TS.

Everyone's list would obviously change
depending on how old they are. Since
I was a student in the 60's my list
would be quite different from a student
in this decade. I would have a hard
time making a top 10 but it would include
Tommy Casanova, Bert Jones, Pete Maravich,
Bob Petit, Shaq, Glenn Dorsey, etc.
My all-time pick for who would be my
choice for a son: Jacob Hester.

quote:I agree. But my list is a little off the radar:
a special place for Hokie Gajan
Ricky Blanton
Corey Webster
Jay Whitley
Johnny Jones
Not the best ever at their positions, but guys I loved to watch play.
I may be dating myself with this list. But it is what it is.

Dalton Hilliard would be my favorite but I think Henry Thomas was the most dominating player that LSU has ever seen. I remeber when we play Nebraska one year in a bowl game and Nebraska had some 'super lineman' that the stupid announcers went on and on about the whole game. Henry Thomas truly made him look like he belonged in middle school. Henry Thomas put the Capital B in Beast.

quote:While football dominates my love for LSU, that '88-'89 team when CJ and Vernel were freshmen was a shitload of fun to watch. That was the most pure excitement I've ever seen poured out on a basketball court. And Vernel was from my hometown, and my high school basketball coach as a junior showed us film of CJ as a sophomore (he had been an assistant at Gulfport the year before, and everyone there already knew how special Chris was), so I was kind of partial to both of them already. They are definitely in the mix for my favorites.

I'm basing this on guys ive seen play:
Football: Josh Reed. This guy was a playmaker.
Baseball: Doug Thompson. Lights out pitcher in the 90's
Basketball: Tyrus Thomas. He could jumo out of the gym.
