UGA is already ahead of us. It's Vandy and Tennessee that could bump is out by jumping us, but they play each other and we have the tie-breaker against Tennessee. As long as they split their series either way, we get some cushion. A Vandy sweep would be the worst for us.

But they will at least be there. There will only definitely be 4 teams that will only be there for 1 day (the 4 that lose day 1). That's the same number of teams that wouldn't be there at all in a 12 team format. If chalk holds, each of the remaining teams will play at least two days, with the Champ and Runner-up playing three.

So, yes, you would have more teams there but only for one day, but you also aren't leaving a quarter of the conference out entirely. More State and South Carolina fans will probably travel for a one game tourney appearance than would travel for a tourney without their teams at all.

Mizzou, of course, is a special case. You might get more Mizzou fans at the tournament if they didn't have to watch their team play. But you are also likely to get at least a few general baseball fans there for their games simply out of morbid curiosity.
