While we have an interim president? I'm not sure how exactly that works. Who is responsible for the AD position?

Brady made a Final Four.
Interspersed between a LOT of losing. Trent Johson won the SEC. I don't think anyone would say he had a very successful tenure at LSU.
While Wade never had the one outlier great NCAA Tournament run (like Brady did), he never had a bad season (Brady had several). That's why Wade's winning % is nearly 100 points higher than any LSU HC over the last 50 years. And there was no reason to believe that consistent level of winning was going cease had he remained at LSU.
Wade was the best basketball coach LSU had since Brown. Barring a big reversal from his past 3 seasons, Woodward's basketball hire is the worst in the last 50 years.

Hired a very good baseball coach
Johnson could win 10 CWS and baseball still wouldn’t come close to bringing in a third of the revenue that football brings in.

Yall know an AD does a lot more than hire/fire coaches right?

Woodward is not the problem.

You have no idea what it’s like to have a bad AD. Ask any boomer. Don’t push your (our) luck.

If memory serves correct, our basketball team was in a tough spot when we hired McMahon

Woodward ain't going nowhere. He has the right friends in the right places.
It won't matter if the money people decide it is time. He can have all of the friends and political connections he wants. If the people funding LSU athletics want him gone he will be gone yesterday.

All the more reason not to give him a ridiculous contract

Woodward and BK are not geauxing anywhere.
Just pray Kelly changes some offensive staff after the season.
It is very alarming how many poor choices of Assistants he has made.
He clearly wasn’t initially prepared to address the rigors and demands of the SEC.

But Brian Kelly talks like us.

BK kept LSU competitive and from turning into a dumpster fire. JJ won 2 natties. Mulkey has one.
BK is the biggest one and people hate it now, but Woodward made the right move. BK has a deserved reputation for blowing big games, but he always has a competitive team. He probably has reached his ceiling, but the chances of winning a championship are so astronomically low even if you’re the GOAT coach, so Woodward played the numbers and went with a sure thing from a high floor perspective.
