4-2 trumps all of that.

Gonna fire Lane and the special teams coach?

And I remember how everyone used to flash stats about Nuss, but anytime the SEC Only stats are brought up, suddenly those numbers don't look so great.
Blake's SEC only stats are still great.

#1 in 4th down conversions v conference
#3 in scoring defense v conference
#4 in red zone conversions v conference
#5 in total defense v conference
#5 in passing defense v conference
#6 in rushing defense v conference

The only bad stat I saw is 9th in 3rd down conversions. We play too soft on 3rd down, but go all out on 4th down. What my eyes usually see when I watch.

He gave up 30-35 points to each of those teams. That's going to happen in college football. What are those two teams ranking now, by the way?

You want to fire the guy because his defense had a single bad drive during the Kentucky game?

Remember, the same defense just shut a 16th ranked SEC opponent yesterday.

Down vote all you want but you seem to be sugar coating many things with comment. One bad drive ? Bakers defense gave up many drives to Kent, Ole Miss when they had many chances to get them off the field and Miss St was missing probably top 2 QB's in SEC for that 16th ranked team. Just Need to See Baker be able to get some stops when LSU needs them most on the ROAD! against good teams. If he can prove this then i think we have a chance going to Tenn in upcoming weeks.

He is acting like one bad drive. Not true. At the end of each half against OM and KY, he couldn't get a stop when needed most. Thats 4 drives right there, not even talking about overtime. Baker has some good qualities, but he is now on shaky ground with many LSU fans, and another poor road performance against a middle to lower middle sec offense will make it worse, no doubt

Against good offenses, against OM, we couldn't get a stop at the end of the first half, or at the end of the game. Against KY, we couldn't get a stop at end before halftime, or hold the lead with a full field to go, and no timeouts, with just over a minute left in the game.

This. And let's see how the stats look and the record stands after his defense faces Auburn's #17 and Bama's #12.

They scored on every possession after the opening one in the 1st half of the Ole Miss game. 4 straight drives, 298 yards in a half.

Blake isn’t going anywhere. The only way he leaves is for a head job. He’s not getting fired. Get comfortable with him being here next season.

Correct - Lane made the decision to keep him because he played against him and respected him.

Lane only scored 23 and 24 points respectively in his two turns against Baker, which for his high powered offense those two years at Ole Piss was very respectable.

He's not getting fired. As you said he's only leaving if he gets a head job somewhere next year.

It’s not that bad.

Now post JUST what his defences do on the road.

Good thing is Brown is not a shifty qb and won’t try to make you miss a tackle. He’s just a 230lb tank that will try to run you over. Defense is going have to learn how to square up and gang tackle him.
