This all smoke and mirrors and it’s hard for some to accept. The only 2 decent teams we played moved the ball basically at will against us. These numbers are representative of playing McNeese, Clemson, LA tech and Texas a&m team that has their new offensive coordinator has done more to stop their offense than our defense did. I feel like it been awhile since LSU had a true shutdown defense. The next few games will definitely be a true test as to where they are at.

Ole Son’s wife couldn’t lay off that sharp jawline and baseball cap that Blake rocks.

Now post JUST what his defences do on the road.

Avg

400+ ypg allowed
30 ppg (OM - 32, Kentucky 28)

Overall, Baker's defense has not been bad this year. But the margins for error are very tight in the SEC and his defense has been unable to get critical stops in the 4Q of LSU's losses. Fair or not, coaches get judged by their losses.

If Saturday follows a similar script: struggles in the 1st half, dominant 3rd quarter, fail to get a critical stop in the 4th quarter of a close game, then it will be hard to see a HC believing in Baker

Thanks for this! This proves Baker's Defense on the road needs a lot of work. He needs to do much better starting this weekend. If not ,he will keep hearing it from everyone that he is not worth what LSU is paying him as a top DC in college football.

I remember fans coming on here saying Brian Kelly wasn’t going anywhere and get comfortable with him for at least a couple more years over and over last year too.

Sometimes it’s better to just not say anything and see what happens before we act like we know what’s going to happen. Because LSU has been proving a lot of people wrong the past year or so numerous times.
