Just enjoy the ride. Even if it comes crashing down the memory of the ride will be fantastic.

Until they prove it was something illegal, I’m not concerned.

but it seems like if the FBI had something on Wade and not just an interest in what he knows, then things would be progressing a lot faster than this.

Defense counsel for Dawkins is who subpoenaed Wade. The Feds didn't think anything on Wade was relevant to their prosecution. Things aren't really progressing all that slowly. The indictments were issued on the first set of charges (wire fraud) in September of 2017. Convictions were entered in October of 2018. Sentencing occurred this week. That's pretty damn quick for a federal trial. The three coaches indicted already took pleas. Now there is one final trial set in April on bribery charges for the three convicted in October. It wouldn't shock me in the least if they ended up taking pleas before it gets to trial

What's happened the last few days?

He got the subpoena over a week ago. At this point, the FBI thinks Wade has information they want, but he hasn't been named a person of interest or suspect, yet.

Let it play out, but it seems like if the FBI had something on Wade and not just an interest in what he knows, then things would be progressing a lot faster than this.

What happened is rantards got word that Wade was called by the defense to testify and somehow turned that into Wade being the defendant.

In other words you can relax for now.

Yes of course and anyone saying otherwise is deluding themselves to feel better.

Yep, definitely a serious possibility... If so this all goes away.

Even if he gets on the stand, the FBI is 100% not looking at him

Eh, I don't think there's anything to worry about in regards to Wade testifying. What worry there is will be what the NCAA decides to do once all of these federal trials are over with and the NCAA gets ahold of the FBI files. But I don't anything substantial will happen with the trial itself as it pertains to Wade. And like I said, there are much bigger glaring issues with other programs. If the NCAA investigated every program loosely involved in the probe, they'd be investigating for years because so many programs were involved. I'm not even sure Emmert would want to open that can of worms.

Who knows - don't they have the other side of the conversation?

My guess is a full scholarship and all of the perks that come along with being a big time athlete at LSU.

I did think Wade sounded a bit dejected after the Bama win. Maybe he was just thinking we've got a lot to work on to get better.

Eh, honestly no. We gotta do what we gotta do to compete.

I’d rather burn out in a blaze of glory than chug along being a middle of the pack to shitty basketball team.

Not worried. Bo Bahnsen and his staff would have imposed stiff internal sanctions if Wade’s pinky toe crossed the line. There is a reason we haven’t had any major issues in any sport for the last 20 years. If they hear about something they drop the hammer internally and nip it in the bud.

My understanding is that the FBI doesn’t want Wade’s testimony and the defense does.

My only concern is if this becomes a distraction for Wade. I'm not concerned, I hope he is not as well.

My inside man says Wade is begging to defend his reputation against this BS but LSU attorneys have ordered him not to say a word about it publicly.

Agreed. That's why I'm "a little nervous".

He probably meant nothing specific. Coach speak to get someone on the recruiting hook. He may have had zero intention of ever providing an improper benefit, and simply wanted to get in front of the kid to sell him on LSU.

That is unless they have another tape with him enumerating the offers.
