We'll see. I think Coach O has done a good job this season. But, I don't think it's extension worthy. I see him as a 8-10 win a season coach due to being a very good recruiter. I don't hate him or love him. I see him as a good football coach, but not a championship coach.

That’s what I literally say every year, we are always next year U. It’s time to man up or make changes.

I’m not sure why you guys keep putting artificial expectations on O and the team. Doesn’t mean anything whatsoever. “10-2 or clean house”. It doesn’t mean shite and the admin could not care less what is said on this board

One loss is a successful regular season.

Two losses will be disappointing.

Three losses or more will be unacceptable and a change should be discussed.

I agree. Everything sets up for a very good 2019, OC not withstanding.

I said we could go 10-2 in2018 if the D was as good as advertised and we got a few bounces our way. So ironically things didn't bounce our way vs A&M and we end regular season 9-3.

The defense was not as dominant as I thought.

2019 will be hard to replace White, but if Chaisson is healthy and Stingley is as good as I and others think the D will be very good and will be helped by a better offense.

I think we could get better results out of a different OC but I don't expect such a change so I'm trying to find confidence that the offense can really gel in year 2 under Ensminger.

Burrow was a first year starter this year, there were flashes of proving he can be a play maker and carry the offense. There was also some inconsistencies/bad passes and poor decision making. Can he build on those flashes in year 2?

We really lacked a home run hitter at RB. NB/CEH provided a competent stable but they lacked the elite skills were used to seeing. Top end speed was a big hole for us. Can Emery be the guy that hits holes and is gone?

We need a deep threat at WR. I don't know who that is yet but I feel like we really missed Chark in that role this year. We took very few deep shots, I think as a combo of poor protection and lacking a speed guy to get vertical.

[What's our goal as a program, Pirate? ]

To the people that control the program, make money. It's Louisiana. "We don't need it to be pretty, we just need our cut".

Probably so but it really won't matter if it's true they are gonna give a contract extension to O. If it's true, he could shite himself and it really wouldn't matter.

We need to be 10-2 in regular season, at a minimum.

OK, say we lose in Tuscaloosa...0-1

That leaves four SEC home games: Florida, Auburn, Arkansas, and A&M. We must win those four games, IMO.

SEC road games not in Tuscaloosa...

@Vandy, @ State, @OMiss. Those three are winnable ones, IMO. We must be 3-0 in those games.

Gotta beat GA Southern, NW State, and Utah State.

IMO, it boils down to that Sept 7 game in Austin. If we can beat Texass, we are on our way.

It's his third year as the head coach of the LSU Tigers. Wouldn't you give any coach 3 years. Why should O not be given the same consideration?

Jesus jumped up and down ben. Where in my post did I say o shouldn't be given 3 years as the head coach?

You're the knucklehead who said this:

quote:

Next year is coach O's money year. If he shits the bed he has to go.

You're the one calling for him to be fired.

All I said was "he's shite the bed every season he's been here."

But I will say, if o can't get this team to an SEC Championship Game and the playoffs next year, he should be shown the door. Enough of the fricking around with this coaching staff.

With a bowl win and getting to 10 games will always be a successful season. This entire year up until the 7th overtime we were in the mix for the playoffs.

I want us to beat the shite out of people like bama does, but we aren't that good. We lost 2 extremely close games on the road in the SEC. Our quality of play got better. I'm excited for the bowl game, and next season.

O can only be what he is. And that’s a 9 win season on a good year and a 7 win season on a bad year. We’re wasting our time.

With the defense having Porter, Queen, and Baskerville seasoned and with another Spring, DWs absence will be mitigated.

Then, the secondary will sport several youngins that had valuable year end experience added with Delpit. Very solid group.

Oline will actually be improved. A gelled unit can grow.....Cregg, earn your cash.

QB is a huge step forward.

True fresh RBs will be huge!
