Here since 2003.
I can say, unequivocally, that this is the most excited I have ever been about an LSU football season. Ever, ever, ever.
There’s some gris gris brewing and I’m here for all of it.
My “come-to-Jesus” moment was being able to attend the LSU/Florida 1997 game in the student section as a Jr. in high school.
This season feels remarkably special. I have no clue what the end result will be, but I’m ready for whatever it brings.

January 2004 for me...
I'm with you. This is the most I have ever been excited about football probably since 2004 pre- season .
I remember when we got JaMarcus Russell to commit from over here in Mobile in 2003 and all my bama friends were scared.

Sept 2003 for me.
Celebrated 3 football and 3 baseball NC teams with fellow TD boomers. Still waiting on Men’s basketball.

The end of CEO and the CBK era had such extreme lows. That the hiring of CLK was like a shot of adrenaline to me. The moves have been made but the adrenaline crash is real for me, so to speak.
Just sitting here wanting to believe. Season can't get here fast enough

good luck with that. I hope Wade knocks it out of the park, but some of you on here think he is a legend already, despite him never being on the bench in a sweet 16 game. He has solid teams and generates excitement, for sure. Dale created a ton of excitement too, and eventually started getting LSU very deep in the tourney and was considered a team you didn't want to face in March. Wade will need to do that at some point to get the credit he would deserve.

I lurked for quite awhile before registering, I tend to procrastinate like that
I was reading this for a few years before I started posting.
I'm excited for football to start up, but honestly it feels more like we're going the right direction with a coach again, and not that we're going to win a title or anything yet. I don't think we're on top of the world like we were a couple decades ago yet. I think that's a couple years away, assuming CFB doesn't self-destruct by then. I'm ready for a head coach to at least give a shite again.
As for basketball, not the slightest clue whether things will be good, or if it all blows up in our faces. Here's hoping we're relevant in that again.

I just joined TD not too long ago but I agree there's some excitement in the air for the first time in years.

We are the same age, I was also a junior although I didn’t get to go to that UF game. This year I find myself listening to every podcast I can find, so yea I freaking pumped. Back when I was a crazed 20-something year old, I’d say I was more “excited” only bc I was full of piss and vinegar, years I remember being stoked: 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2011. This is definitely up there though.

For most of the last 20 years, I've been embarrassed by LSU football coaches. Never a fan of Lucky Les or BK, as they wasted so much talent, made questionable decisions in games, and they were often a joke with a microphone in their hands. BK was extremely arrogant and fleeced us (Woody with the assist) in the end. I was proud of CEO being home grown, however he blew himself up after amassing the uber talented 2019 team.
Kiffin is in a whole different league as a coach. He is extremely intelligent, knows football, thinks ahead, excellent at making decisions and play calls in the heat of battle, works hard, recruits well, attracts top notch assistant coaches, handles media like a pro, has the respect of players, and he brings swagger to a whole new level.
I truly believe we will see exciting LSU football and win many big games with Lane at the helm!

I remember arriving at Bagram Afghanistan and waiting to be picked up. Went to the Pat Tillman USO and I got on the computer and found Tigerdroppings in Feb 05, joined and have never looked back.

Mine was the week after. I’m 6 years younger than you. I remember the SI cover after that game. Hooked for life.
