re: Finally watched the press conference. fricking A I’m pumped. LSU will DOMINATE!

Amazingly different opening press conference than BK and Les. BK was extremely arrogant, and Les seemed mentally retarded. Future press conferences were no better for either of these dudes.
With CEO, I was hoping against hope that a true Cajun could be the kingpin of LSU football. Just wasn’t meant to be, but 2019 was magical on his nickel!!!
Kiffin was right on point tonight. Struck a balance of humble, funny, confident, respectful of OM and LSU, excited, energetic, and raring to go!
This is the best I’ve felt about an LSU head coaching hire…maybe ever. And I’ve been going to LSU games since the mid 1960s.
Kiffin has the potential to build a powerhouse at LSU!

I dont’t trust “lurkers” who never post, then all of a sudden unleash a thome criticizing LSU. Just not credible…

This is a paid media hit piece. Kelly’s attorneys are placing media stories to gain leverage.
Just hire a great coach, start playing football with discipline and effort, and all of this goes away.
Kelly was just an incredibly bad hire and a bad person. There is an evil spirit in that man. You could see this coming 100 miles away.

A pathetic loss was when U of Houston beat us 20-7 in Tiger Stadium in 1999. The stadium was empty. It was way darker than where we are today.
These are just lame excuses.
We have an excellent team, and we paid a lot of money for the defense talent that is playing pretty darn good. Much improved from a year ago.
Our issue is we have a very weak and poorly coached OL and a QB who has lost all confidence. He has regressed under this coaching staff.
On top of that, we have an arrogant coach who doesn’t want to answer legitimate questions. He thinks is he’s the smartest guy in the room. Kelly is hated by ND fans, and he is burning bridges here on a daily basis. I just don’t think the BK era ends well here for us.
Unfortunately his contract terms lock us into several more years of this madness and mediocre performances on the field.
I’ve been attending LSU games since the 1960s, so I’ve seen many highs and many lows. This team is certainly better than many I’ve seen don the P&G. But it’s been a long time since I’ve seen such poor OL and QB play.
Felt almost as disappointed and confused on Saturday night as I did on 1/09/2012.

Kelly didn’t have an answer for Caubles question then or now. Our fans know garbage offense when we see it, and we know we can’t win consistently with the defense on the field the entire game!
re: I haven't seen enough praise for Blake Baker

Too bad BK ran BB off when he arrived at LSU. Imagine a Blake Baker defense paired with JD5 and those receivers we had!!!
Who said conspiracy?
However it is a break from what BK and staff have been doing…post practice reports. And it was a very meaningful session. Full pad scrimmage. Not practicing against air.

re: What’s the scrimmage report today?
Posted by CEOTiger on 8/17/25 at 7:59 am to Tigerbait8
The silence is deafening!!! Not a word for 12 hours after the first real scrimmage of Fall practice.
There was a lot of TD complaints about that 2019 OL…LOTS!!!
There were also LOTS of TD complaints about Jayden Daniels. Many wanted Nuss to start over JD5.
The Rant is fun and often on point. But it is not The Gospel by any stretch.
Lets give the 2025 OL a chance to play a game or three before organizing a funeral for them!

I wish we would have seen a lot more of Jeremy Hill with the ball in his hands. He was big, fast, and electric.
Another year of Honey Badger would have been beyond magical as well!

Skeenes and Ben were clearly the most valuable of the last decade or so, but Gavin Dugas was my favorite player. Lots of heart and effort. The guy came through so many times in the clutch. Plus was Mr. HBP!
Great halftime adjustments! Lacked that bit of coaching last year!

B&D Burgers on West Congress Street. Great burgers, cold beer, and TVs all over the place.

The past 6 quarters of football for Bama is suspect!!!
re: Maybe I missed it, but was there an explanation on why the center centered the ball early

I was at the game, and I can tell you the noise was deafening. I'm surprised we did as well with snap counts as we did...seriously! The fans were 100% into this game start to finish, and they were incredibly LOUD. The place was rocking like a top 10 LSU v Alabama game in TS.
I ordered a medium sized shirt, and it was cut like a small. The return process was INCREDIBLY frustrating. They don’t make it easy!
re: I’ve defended Brian Kelly all I can. I’m off that train now. He’s not it.
Posted by CEOTiger on 9/3/24 at 7:31 pm to winston318
Brian Kelly did not have his team prepared to play...plain and simple. He also failed to make half time adjustments which would have allowed us to attack USC's weaknesses. Nuss shredded them in the first half, so why did we abandon that for a run game that wasn't working? JD5 made this offensive line look way better than they were. He bailed them out consistently.
So where do we go from here BK??? Show us what you are made of...

There is a nice image of his girlfriend on Instagram wearing his LSU letter jacket. If someone knows how to find and post the URL, it would be a fun photo to share.

I grew up in Magnolia Woods and paid my own way through LSU in the mid 1970s. I support all of these comments regarding Tiger fans with Tiger or Louisiana ties in some fashion…even some of the bandwagon fans like SVP!
What makes me cringe are all of these wannabe Alabama fans around the country that are incredibly vocal and arrogant…never having stepped foot in the state. I have two good friends in this category, and it is just pathetic. Both are from rural Missouri. You would think they have a personal relationship with Nick and Mrs. Terry. They live and breathe Alabama.
Huge difference between them and a hard working oil worker from back Brusly who never attended LSU but bleeds Purple and Gold!!! Especially if the can cook and are fun at a tailgate!

I spent a lot of time in Oregon over the past year. Lots of natural beauty, but man that place really sucks. Feels like 1940s out there. I call it the land of low expectations. Crazy liberal culture and there are almost zero African Americans…actually 3% black for the state and 1.5% for the city of Eugene. You couldn’t pay me to live there!!!
