We have a winner. And I want our uniforms to look like 1997 again with gray facemasks. If you have to ask, aesthetics mean more than they should to me.......The demise of Toonces with the new logo almost brought tears to my eyes.

Since each SEC school received more money this year than ever before and stand to receive more with the SEC network contract, I say lower the price of the football tickets for season ticket holders.

Would some of you suggest actually firing Paul Maineri for over-thinking the 8th on Sunday? We would be the laughing stock of collegiate athletics for firing a guy with his body of work. Note that I am pissed about him pulling Bouman and the entirety of his tendency to over-think us out of games, but what is Alleva to do? I'm also ticked Maineri hired his freaking godson to coach the hitting, but before he could be canned this season our hitting turned it around in a big way. we also have a loaded recruiting class on the way, so I have mixed feelings about javi at the moment
Well aren't we in a predicament, we have a baseball coach that you feel can't be fired because of his body of work, because it would make us, in your opinion, the laughing stock of collegiate athletics. I have news for you friend, after Sunday and Monday nights performance, we already are the laughing stock of collegiate athletics. Did you see us completely blow it on Sunday night? If that wasn't bad enough, we did it again on Monday. Didn't you see us get completely blown out of our own house the very next day by a score of 12-2?
Body of work.....BS.
In any profession, you are only as good as your last action. What ever it is that you do.
For example, if you bring your car into a "body" shop for "work" after a fender bender and the work done is horrible, you will be "pissed". And if the owner tells you, "but sir, look at my body of work" as he shows you all the beautiful cars he has done "body work" on in the past, it changes nothing, for you. Baseball is no different. You are only as good as your last season. Period. In my opinion.
You also mention being pissed about pulling Bouman. If the average Joe (no pun intended) can see the brain dead moves made by Maineri time and time again, then surely the administration has concern. Hell, even a schmuck like me who only played high school ball can see that their is a problem.
Body of work.....BS.
You also mention Maineri hiring a family member to coach hitting. Was it not lack of hitting that was one of the main reasons we lost 12-2 Monday night in our own house, prematurely ending a promising season. And by the way, we ALWAYS have a "weighted recruiting class". We are the LSU Tigers. Every baseball player in Louisiana would jump at a chance to play ball for the Tigers. Even the ones knocking the fricking cover off the ball across the bayou at ULL.
I would argue, if we don't fire Maineri, we will be the laughing stock of collegiate athletics. But as I mentioned earlier, we already are, thanks to Maineri. In my opinion.

Clean up the area behind the outfield fence and get creative with it (build a berm or something), install a better looking batters eye. Not a huge fan of the bathrooms and concessions on top of the new expansion but Tiger Stadium has never looked better in my lifetime.

I think I would want to explore ways (with coaches of all our major sports) of discouraging early departures for the pros - maybe by finding ways to instill team loyalty over personal gain. I suspect one of the reasons we have such great recruiting is that the idea of early departures is dangled before promising recruits as a way to get rich, quick. I know this seems to be the "way it is" these days at many (most?) colleges - but I am certain it doesn't have to be the "way it is" while still maintaining excellence. As AD, I'd be in a position to talk with other ADs around the circuit, who are also experiencing this phenomenon on their teams. If some kind of consensus could be found among the ADs and major conferences (maybe even the whole NCAA), I'd like to change it, either will the full support and cooperation of the NFL, NBA, and MLB, or so that a 4 year scholarship means you stay 4 years, sort of like a contract - before you are eligible to go pro. This would not effect transfers to other college teams, other than the usual NCAA eligibility requirements.

If I were AD I would look strongly into enhancing the beauty surrounding the athletic facilities.
Blend in all sides of tiger stadium so it looks uniform, same color paint, etc...
Cleanup the area around the Box particularly around the outfield wall and railroad tracks
It would be costly but at least work with Entergy in trying to put the power lines around campus underground.
The old alex box area is being taken care of along with the married student housing but I hope they go the extra mile to make it top notch.

I would like to see the Athletic Department put all of "new" money from the SEC Network into "minor sports". In other words, no funding to the big three. They already enjoy the best of the best. Develop the minor sports and make LSU the most balanced, well rounded Athletic Program in the Nation.

Mostly we need Bama's cup cake schedule in football!!!

I wouldn't be a good AD, because my suggestions would cost money.
I'd do away with the pay tailgating passes on football gamedays.
I'd get rid of the ads on the scoreboards and use the board for what it should be for, showing games and replays and scores
I'd have a berm built at the Box. Sell cheap tickets or leave it for the SRO tickets. Sell beer.
Eliminate piped in music at football games. We have a band. They should play every chance they get. If the student chant STTDB, well, they are college kids, what do you expect?
I'd put together a group to find out just why it is that the stadium is at 3/4 capacity after halftime and try to fix it. I understand when we play some scrub team, but there is no excuse for it during a close conference game.
I'd stay in the ear of the SEC office regarding the apparent favoritism. I'd lobby for the SEC championship game venue to rotate to different stadiums within the SEC's footprint. That includes New Orleans, Nashville, St. Louis, Dallas and Houston. I'd do the same for the SEC baseball tournament. There is no reason for it always be in Hoover. For that matter, I would also be vocal about moving the SEC offices out of Birmingham and to Atlanta or Nashville. None of this will be done, but it wouldn't keep me from griping.

Fire Jim Hawthorne.
This has been overdue since 1983.

If I were the AD, the wisest move I could make is to immediately resign, as my knee-jerk emotional reactions regarding LSU Football and Baseball would certainly doom both programs.

Yeah, I am sure everyone is on the floor laughing that we lost to a team with the #2 RPI and won 47 games. sooo embarrassing; how will LSU ever rebound?

i am too busy to respond to that wall of text, but when I can I will be sure to

That's why I said add complementary women's sports like water polo, rugby, lacrosse. Hot equestrian girls sounds like a good plan too.

I'd start a program to give away unsold blocks of seats (M & W baskeball, gym, softball) to youth groups.
