Does anyone have an idea when the decision on the appeal will come down???

By the end of summer is all I've heard. Nothing definitive past that.

I'm anticipating them dragging their feet until game 6, then approve the appeal... at that time the SEC will step in and impose their own penalty that lasts 6 games and a bowl ban.
We've seen that happen on academic appeals before, or close to it.

Did he actually 'tamper" or did he just show intent to "tamper" and change his mind when his stupidity was discovered by the test giver? 2 years depends on the tightness of the definition of "tamper".

Has Fulton's legal case progressed beyond the "It doesn't seem fair" stage?
If that's it, and he's relying on publicity and pressure, it is a complete waste of time.
Is there even a procedure to reassess the decision at this point other than new and compelling evidence (which we haven't heard about)?

Now would be the time. We are about to start on the offensive against the NCAA to get him reinstated, and we have some outside help (media) that is going to run his story about how inconsistent and messed up the NCAA's testing policies and procedures are. So... Fingers crossed. Should have an answer by the end of the summer. You see something on Twitter or any other social media about it later, share it to all your friends and family. The more pressure on the NCAA, the better.
In hindsight, this post while accurate is kind of funny.
The "offensive" was at best neutral to Fulton's cause and I don't think it added even a little bit of pressure to the NCAA.

Best chance we have. Can't really file a suit against them since the NCAA is a voluntary entity. The players really have no rights and aren't protected by a union or the Collective Bargaining Agreement, so making them bend to pressure and approve his appeal is really the only avenue they have at this point. The lawyers are trying to exhaust every route they can find, and find any loophole or grey area in wording to exploit.

I don't see Fulton gaining eligibility this year, but I like that all avenues are being exhausted.
Next year Fulton and Stingley will be the best CB duo in the nation.

Lot of on field colliegiate success to base that opinion on.

Assuming Stingley is at LSU he will be an immediate starter. That leaves Vincent, Kirklin, Netherly and the signed in the 2019 class as well as Fulton all competing for the 2nd starting spot. Fulton is a much bigger need this year than next.
Absolutely! We need a talent like Fulton anytime, and even more so this year. I hope the pressure is kept at a high level and the NCAA starts using what little brain power they have left to do the right thing.

honest question, is he good enough to make an impact or even start if he does obtain eligibility?

5 star, #3 CB in the nation? I'd say yes.
He has been allowed to practice and go to meetings with the team so he's not just sitting around playing playstation.

Without a doubt day 1 starter

I agree. He is in at least the same position as Greedy was from an experience standpoint. If he is as good as we think he is, he is ready.

Last week Booger McFarland said that if Fulton was eligible this season, he'll be the best corner on the team. I don't know how true that is, but it's definitely encouraging.

What's sad about it, it's obvious LSU needs to educate them on the rules better. Yeah, he went on bad advice of teammates and didn't seek out admin/coaches advice on tampering (of course!). But that just goes to show you the team is just as uneducated on such penalties. Not one teammate told him:
A) no need to panic, they're not testing for weed
B) don't tamper, the penalty is draconian
Of all the shite our compliance department pulls, and the attitude they take at times, we now come to find out they aren't educating them on the simple fact who's test is for what.

Is there any evidence this is having the desired effect and applying pressure? It seems like even in Baton Rouge it was only passivelymentioned by a few media people. We don’t have much of a leg to stand on, even in the sympathy play and the court of public opinion.

You’re right, but you also have to think about it in real life. Is the compliance officer supposed to say “don’t worry about weed for this test”?
I’m assuming he asked a buddy and they came to the conclusion of “better safe than sorry”.
People like to act like this is so cut and dry, but if you were In his situation - who could you really ask to find out.

One call from the midget to his buddy Emmert and it won’t matter if he has Papal intervention.
