OSU also just hired Knowles from Oklahoma State as DC, whose background is DBs. It’s not unthinkable that the DB coach would entertain a better offer.

Raymond threatened to leave every single offseason. He was made the highest paid DB coach. He got mad because Frank was given the AHC title instead of him, so he finally followed through on his constant threat to leave.

We talking about a POSITION coach.
I loved Corey and appreciate him. But, he is NOT irreplaceable. There are other teams out there with excellent defenses.

There are actually some other good options outside of Ohio State, like Jimmy Lake or Donte Williams.
I think with Ohio State hiring Knowles, though, their DB coach is a more realistic get.

Maybe he was butthurt because Frank Wilson got the associate head coach title.
Can we please stop acting like position coaches are not replaceable? Sure in a perfect world, he stays.

Bring back Ron Cooper. He was a better coach than Raymond, just wasn't as good at recruiting.
ETA: I remember people freaking out when Cooper left also. In fact, I may have been one of them.
