Tell me the last time you saw each of the two scenarios in a game?

A) Fumbled C to QB exchange with defense recovery on a kneel down

B) Team comes back two scores to win/tie with under 1:30 left in the game?

I'll hang up and listen.

Only idiots down vote this. Ratio is accurate representation of LSU fanbase.

The only people downvoting either lost their bet or they think 14 point victory sounds better than 7 to the playoff committee. While that’s true, the pathetic offense we displayed the last two weeks has dashed those hopes imo. No way a 2-loss LSU with an offense stumbling to the finish line gets in over a 1-loss conference champion.

a lot of "what if's"!!!! here's another one... what if Brossette had fumbled on either of those slides, while sliding down instead of scoring????

LSU would have kicked off and Arkansas could have scored a quick TD. Then Arkansas could have kicked an onside kick, recovered and then beat us on a 2-point conversion or in overtime. If LSU does not score and just runs out the clock then nothing happens (just like it played out). In addition, we have a whole mess of hurt DBs. Giving Arkansas the ball back increased the chance of giving up big plays or getting another player hurt. I'll take the W and recommend not betting on college football...

Just about everyone understands this.

You didn’t address the fact that we continued to run plays and risk a turnover after not scoring the TD. Please explain, thanks.

it's astounding that there are idiots on this board who are downvoting the OP.

When an opponent has no timeouts and the math says that you can take knees and completely run out the clock -- you do it EVERY time.

It's about giving your opponent ZERO chance vs. SOME chance, if they get the ball back.

You should ALWAYS take a knee in that situation. ALWAYS.

I'm sorry guys but that one will just not fly. If you want to use that messed up logic then he could have fumbled one of the snaps. Then they could have scored quickly and gone for 2 points and we lose by 1!!!! Well I guess I know you thinking, but I would much rather take my chances being up 14 with 1 minute to go and a pretty good defense.
Heck, if you give up 2 touchdowns like that you deserve to lose!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The game should have never came to that.
Take the 3 points five minutes earlier and NONE of this matters and we probably get a 17 point win with no controversy.

We didn’t take knees, that’s why there are downvotes. You and the op aren’t enlightening the masses to the extent you’re giving yourself credit for. What we did after Brossette’s first fall was counter intuitive to him taking the fall to begin with.

Ok then why not get in victory formation after fist slide?

Because if we playing the if game what IF one of the two unnecessary handoffs were fumbled and returned 100 yards for a TD?

How many times did LSU “take a knee” last night? I’ll wait.

I didn't bet, but you just score there since LSU is actually still in a position where they are ranked #7 in the playoff rankings. Those who make the rankings look at that stuff. We don't look like a playoff team, but the fact is we're still hanging around at #7.

That was incredibly stupid call on O's part.

2:52 to go in the game, we went for it on a 4&2 at their 25 yard line. Kick the field goal and make it a 3 score game.

Its astounding that there are idiots on this board who don’t realize if we were trying to run out the clock, we wouldve kneeled the ball.

Ok so then please explain why the hell he went down short twice on purpose, but then tried to score on his 3rd attempt? I get killing the clock, but why the hell reverse course and then try to score?

never was it more clear then at that point that they have no clue what they are doing on offense and have no plan, they have no idea, and it was clear for all to see.
