If we beat Geo and USC wins out, I say Georgia should be left out

Ban bet? If LSU wins out they get in.

If Bama or Tenn lose this weekend and USC and LSU win, USC will jump LSU in CFP.
That sets them up for taking that last spot with a win over a very good Oregon team.

Then the question becomes not beating UGA for LSU but how they beat UGA.

They better focus on TAMU because they have a great running game and very solid defense. The weather will be bad.

This team will be like Arky with better athletes.

Doubtful.

Beating the #1 team is all LSU needs USC's signature win will be against Oregon who will be @ #8 maybe. LSU will have a signature win vs the #1 team. I think there is a chance Ole Miss stays in the CFP top 25, Tennessee definitely will, and Bama probably stays in the top 10 and definitely the top 15.

What makes you think they aren't?

In the short CFP history, name an SECCG winner that’s been left out.

I’ll hang up & listen…

Both will go in with UGA out. UGA does not have a better resume than the two. Wins are more valuable than losses and UGA will not have a marquee win better than the two.

They will not put UGA in over us. Are y’all serious? Compare the resumes

Assuming LSU beats UGa, they have 1 loss vs LSU’s 2. Plus LSU was blown out at home by Tennessee, who was manhandled by the Bulldogs. And LSU’s other loss was to 8-3 Florida St. Georgia blew out Top 10 Oregon and LSU squeaked by Alabama.

Then let’s look at common opponents that LSU struggled with: Auburn? Beat by 32. Florida? Beat by 22. Ms St.? Beat by 26.

In short, Georgia is the more impressive team and will get in before the Tigers.

Talking about the overall resume. Take off the rose-colored glasses.

compare whatever you want and wear whatever glasses you want, if a #5 beats a #1 and wins the SEC plus the head to head, and the #5s losses were to good teams, there is no way they would take UGA of LSU. period.

The committee would most certainly take the loser of the conference championship if the overall resume is more impressive. Period. They’ve already done that in the past.

Dude, you are higher than Moose Pu$$y with that lame arse argument!

If LSU drops your bullpuppies, meaning we’ve, on the day before final selections, just:

1) beaten the consensus No. 1 team in the country;

2) won the SEC title;

3) gone 11-2 in the SEC West, after playing 4 teams ranked in the Top 10; and

4) Most of all, just beaten Georgia, HEAD-TO-HEAD!

Yet you are stupid enough to think the committee would take UGA or LSU?!!

That’s BAMA level hubris!

Seek professional help and put down the crack pipe!

Except nobody but you thinks thUGAs resume would be better at that point (after an LSU SECCG win).

-LSU would have the head to head. Thats the most important factor in everyones mind.
-LSU would have 2 wins that were better than thUGAs best win.
-thUGAs current 2nd best win might not even be ranked by that time.
-At that time LSU would be on a 7 game win streak compared to thUGAs 1 game losing streak.
-LSU would have won 11 of last 12. thUGA would have won 11 of last 12 also.
- The only thing thUGA has over LSU is losses, I guarantee you they will value the head to head win much more than a 2nd loss that happened to be against a bowl eligible team.

It really isn't close. The committee will think about it for about 1 minute. Guaranteed.

Realistically, USC will be in. Georgia is in no matter what. USC will have finished the season beating 3 ranked teams in a row plus the committee wants a PAC 12 team due to the fact they have always left them out and are getting “crap” for doing so.

100%. Sports, anything today for that matter is about marketing and branding over reality.

Thank you.

Lots of irrational UGA pumpers in this thread.

USC would be finishing with wins over UCLA, ND, and Oregon in consecutive weeks.

UGA would have lost their last game, and more importantly, their best win would be over a suddenly very beatable Tennessee. They did not play Bama or Ole Miss.
