Don't take this the wrong way because I'm not bashing Bech. But, there's probably 3-4 WRs who will benefit before Bech from a magnitude standpoint.

Was there any competition this season?
For Nuss to be QB1b and never get a shot on the field when Daniels was doing nothing in some games is very telling. You would think an offense that was inept to move the ball for a half would give QB1b at least a series to see if there was any movement. It appears like it was all BS from Brian Kelly to hold the announcement, so Nuss did not walk.

Relax, I know you probably see the Howard's and Bech's around town so you have to defend them. I'm not hating on them. He made an entire post about Bech going off because he and Howard played together in high school, then completely switched gears by saying he envisions a full WR/TE/RB utilization because Howard is less likely to run. The whole post is kind of confusing and basically the OP's way of saying he thinks Walker is a better quarterback than Jayden.

This is a as Twitter link to an image of PFF highest graded quarterbacks this season. All you clowns that say Jayden stinks need to shut up now

So because someone on Twitter has JD ranked at #8 that makes him a good QB and the answer next year? GTFO

I don’t know what the future holds for who will start next year but I can tell you one thing, if Howard would actually be the starter next year and JD did come back, there will be an epic meltdown on this board, lol.

They will never 'go off' with JD as the QB.
Pick your poison...A top passing game with adequate running game or a weak passing game with only barely adequate running game (because Passing game weakness doesn't help running game)and a whole lot of Qb scrambling that just pisses off receivers. If that wasn't the go to big play for the Tigers, it would be acceptable and even applauded, but if it is in lieu of a real passing game, I vote pass.
Arky showed how to stop Tiger offense and A&M used that approach. JD and offense will suffer big time if we don't find a real passing game. Receivers, most likely, will look elsewhere also in recruiting
also. I don't care who the QB is as long as we run something other than 30 hitches a game because that is all the QB is comfortable throwing. Give me a QB that can throw and slant and throw a receiver open on the move. I've had enough of the catch and be tackled or fall down offense.

PFF is nationally recognized. That most colleges actually look at and will use the stats. I’m sorry In what way did I say oh let me look at this random Joe’s Twitter and grab something that isn’t recognized?

because making throws in practice is the same as making them against sec defenses?

Which receiver has lived up to expectations?
Boutte as a true freshman, and prior to his injury as a So. vs Boutte as a Jr?
They have all forgotten how to run routes and get open. Is it the fault of coaching or QB?

Nope.

His entire OP is shorter than your response to me.

It would be like bringing back the band from STM.

But it wouldn't just be Bech going off. I envision full WR/TE/RB utilization.

To me, it is quite clear he is saying Bech will have many more catches, as will all pass catchers (WR/TE/RB) because Howard was a prolific passer at STM and will like be so at LSU.

I think we will see a Howard/Daniels 2QB system. Similar to the Tua/Hurts combo at Bama

Or similar to the offense that Kelly used in 2021. But many more plays/carries for Daniels than the true freshman Buchner had in 2021.

Had Coan who threw for 3,150 yards and Buchner who ran 46 times for 336 yards and threw for 298 yards.

No way. I expect Howard to be the guy in ‘24.

If Howard isn't the starter in 24, you'll likely see him starting for a conference rival via the transfer portal.

I'm certain Walker will see open receivers better than Daniels and Walker will probably lean on Bech a lot due to the previous relationship they had in high school.

Both points are reasonable.

It's hard to have much worse passing vision and decisiveness than Daniels has exhibited this year, so if Howard is even average at that, he's better than Daniels in that area.

And QB-WR chemistry can be important and valuable. Would imagine this would be a good partnership.

That's fine. He felt the need to create a new thread about the topic, which I don't have a problem with.

To me, it is quite clear he is specifically saying Bech will have a big year because they played together in high school, since Bech was the only WR, TE, or RB he mentioned by name. I'm not trying to argue. I get what OP is saying now, but he had a weird way of wording it all within his post.

Just my opinion but IF JD comes back he will probably be the starter but Howard will get significant minutes and if JD struggles they will not hesitate to put Howard in and if he runs the offense like they say he can then the starting QB issue might take care of itself on the field. In a perfect world JD grows and is able to go vertical more and Howard gets significant PT because we aren't struggling to score every game and our defense is deeper and able to give us bigger leads. Then Howard starts in 2024 with some in game experience and same happens with the next QB in the system.

I agree.

Being #8 has led us to a fantastic season so far.
That is no reason be satisfied and not try and move up on that list. I would think this type of passing would do that.

But what the hell do I know.
I am far from an analyst.

Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

He’s a mediocre college player but a superstar on the Rant. Every week. It’s bizarre.
