It's one game. It is annoying but you can't judge anything on one game in a season.
Suppose LSU loses the opener by 7 or fewer and then wins every other game, Clemson wins every game then LSU plays Clemson in the National Championship game and LSU beats them by two touchdowns to win the natty, will you be done with BK?
I'll judge next season after we play a few SEC games first at least. I will be disappointed if we lose the first game, though. As I would even if I expected an awful season, which I do not.

How dare you. Don’t you know the man is tearing it up in portal recruiting right now? You see not allowed to question him nor his begging to fans to help him buy players since he has no ability within his staff to develop them apparently.
Also, what does it matter if they lose game one again. Have to ignore the past and give him full support because he spent his own hard earned money to pay TAF.
It is interesting how magically all the concerns with a variety of things are now gone because we are buying players in the portal.

No it didn’t. It could have if everything broke right, but it didn’t. LSU was slim instead from the sEC Championship the second Ole Miss and Bama lost their games the next weeks. LSU would have been a three loss team sitting in the outside of the playoffs either way.
If Bama didn’t get in with 3 losses, LSU wasn’t getting in.

LSU would have had 2 SEC losses and tied with George and Tennessee.
LSU owned the tiebreak over UGA because UGA lost to Bama and Ole Miss. LSU beat Ole Miss the only other common opponent.
LSU would have been tied with Tenner because Tenner beat Bama but lost to Arky which would have been a worst loss but a better win. I’m not sure how that tie break would have worked. I believe the South Carolina win would have factored in though as Tenner didn’t beat anyone else.

He has to make the playoff next year. LSU can lose no more than 2 games and it really doesn't matter to whom.

I think with the resources committed to the coaching staff, etc., expectations are for this team to be a playoff team. Losing the opener to a big name, non-conference opponent is of no moment (even a 4th in a row). If the team looks to be improving and dominant down the stretch and is clearly a playoff team (with or without a conference title), most of the fan base will be happy with year 4, however disappointing year 3 was.
He will have to win playoff games down the stretch, though. An early exit to the playoffs will be disappointing but clear improvement in 2025. That likely won't be the case if repeated in 2026.

I wonder how many people who moan about strength of schedule and OOC schedule having been weak in the past two decades are now the same people moaning about losing to those high caliber teams right out of the gate?

If the talk around town is true that he coasts during the summer and then only a couple of weeks before the season gets into gear, then we will get smoked again.
