You think like a dog...and a dumb one at that! Wade cannot talk about the shite due to ongoing criminal investigation and because he has to testify in court. You just curious! Now take a chill pill & relax. It's all good!
His lawyer can talk. He could have walked into this meeting with WW and told LSU and the NCAA that he is not allowing WW to comment on the record until after he testifies but that when it all blows over it will be revealed that WW did nothing wrong because (fill in the reason). That would have given WW and LSU some cover, even the NCAA, to allow WW to continue coaching contingent on WW talking at a post trial meeting.
No judge would have allowed a subpoena to issue to people in the meeting to testify as to what WW's lawyer said.
Not sure why this was not done, although I have my suspicions.

Well if I'm Will Wade I have my agent shopping my name to other schools.

And you should be sued for wrongful termination under the conditions put on Wade. Very self righteous of you.

Another fricking idiot. Why dont you ask calipari how it worked out for him. This board is full of stupid fricks who dont follow sports. The non watchers/followers are so obvious, its uncanny.
You sound like someone’s grandma/mother who doesnt knw how college bball works.
Edit, since you probably dont know, Calipari got caught paying players at Umass and Memphis. Now he is at Kentucky. So yeh, his career was not ruined. GTFO!

Different situation dude.
You have contracts and then you have an FBI investigation.
I wouldn't put an employee in that position until they have spoken with the law.

Poor WW.

I always enjoy how people think you can sue anybody for anything regardless of whether the law allows for it or not.

Yeh, you can sue for an emplyment contract you frick. He isnt an “at will employee”
This isnt a “hire at will/fire at will” scenario.
God this board blows!!!!

Up your arse. You and your shoe shine business is irrelevant.

To OP, what if his attorney advises him to not come? What if you've also invited an IRS auditor to attend? (Just to complete the comparison)
Posted on 3/17/19 at 1:37 pm to Likeadog
You’ve never had any fricking employees
Posted on 3/17/19 at 1:38 pm to GeauxxxTigers23
If he did have employees he would at least know the basic laws behind it. So yeh, agreed this asswipe is full of shite.

So you have apparently never dealt with many lawsuits. If you terminate someone just for not meeting with you, then you will probably get sued and lose.

No, he's not.
You must have limited experience in working with large companies. Rank and file employees, managers and executives are held accountable every day in business and are requested to meet with their superiors to give an account of their actions.
That's the nature of employer-employee relationship.

Fire him to avoid the hammer coming down on us and hire another young aggressive coach.
I think this idea is laughable.
Look at the coaches we hired before Wade. If we blow it with him that's what we're going back to.

Male hookers don't count as your employees.

His contract can be searched. Quite easily, actually. All such contracts with LSU are public record.
Once you have done that cite me the paragraph that prevents LSU from suspending or terminating WW for not coming to a meeting to discuss potential NCAA violations.
Something tells me you will not find it.
Something also tells me you will find that he can be suspended during investigations into NCAA violations.
Again, even with a contract, you cannot just sue anybody for anything. There has to be a legal reason, or, in this case, a contractual one.

Unless you have a contract giving them the right not to attend meetings, or there is another discriminatory purpose, the employee will lose that lawsuit every day.

OP do you cancel your meeting on your employees and then tell them “I am rescheduling your meeting; I have invited the police for this new one. We have some questions for you” after they got caught talking about borrowing your red pen?
If you’d fire your employee for not showing up to that on the spot then I don’t know what to tell you
