The game ended up being miserable but I actually really liked the Storm Trooper whites vs aggy’s Blackout at Kyle Field. I like the gimmick uniforms more when the other team leans into it too

They're pretty clean looking but the team usually plays poorly when they wear them -- e.g. Ole Miss 2015, Tennessee 2022, Aggies last year.

I would like to see how we perform on the field than worry about what color the uniforms are. Personally I like the gold helmets more than the white.

same here....but this new woke generation you know....they don't like anything traditional,

Doesn’t seem to matter for Texas or Alabama or others.

The uniform should not be the players’ decision.

I’d appreciate 10 games in GWG, one game in WPW and then senior night let the leadership council choose.

It really has gone too far.
If we are playing less than 10 games in our iconic uniforms then we have jumped the shark.

I hope we wear the traditional game 1 but the way last year went it wouldn’t surprise me to see something different.

If I were the uni Czar (or Tsar), I would have us in the GOAT CFB uni G/W/G setup for almost all games with perhaps W/P/W for one game and all whites for one game. Don't care for any other combos. I was at LSU in the 80's in the day of the meh purple mesh home jerseys with gold britches and don't care if I ever see that combo again.

I dont give a sh*t what uniform combo they decide to wear... just win games. Its only 2 or 3 games per season. Whats the big deal?

This wouldnt be a topic of concern if the team was consistently competing for Championships.

The players like it and the recruits like it... thats all that matters at the end of the day.

Hate to break it but the alternates aren’t going anywhere.
Y’all are dying on the same hill as thinking NIL will be amended or reeled in..

Younger players love it, every single recruiting picture is in an alternate. So given the current CFB direction, unfortunately that’s the way it will inevitably be for 2-3 games a year.

At the very least we have great colors and a beautiful helmet regardless of color. We just have to pray that they never EVER try to incorporate black

I agree. The players like the alternates and standing firm on the traditional uniforms doesn't appear to be a hill the staff wants to die on.

It's not

I do wish personally the alternates would be less frequent. By last count they wore the traditional uniforms Gold pants, white or purple jersey, gold helmet only 7 times out of 13 games. That's still more than 50%...but not much. I guess if there is one positive, it's that they generally wear the traditional look vs. "traditional" opponents. Last year they went G/W/G vs. USC, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Alabama and Florida

Y’all keep saying this bullshite but it doesn’t seem to matter for teams like Alabama or Texas.

We have one of the most recognizable uniforms (G/W/G) and brands and traditions in college football. You don’t change that. Especially not for some 17 year old who doesn’t give a frick about the school and its traditions.

I agree. Have 1 game of WPW, 1 of WWW, and maybe bust out the Gold jerseys 1 time and that's enough. We wore the traditionals only 6 times last year.

As much as people blame the players I think BK doesn’t mind mixing up the jerseys a bit. He did at Notre Dame as well.

But yea this thread is a losing battle the rant is fighting. LSU wears its traditional unis for its biggest games which is great. Who cares if we show some different looks against the Arkansas and Vandys of the world

I have to assume part of the reason we wore so many alternates is because we were bad.

The ONLY reason we were alternate uniforms is money. It is always about money.

One game of the classic purple yellow combo and one game with the all whites should be the extent of LSUs alternate jersey wearing

Yep if we are going against legit competition, we need to be wearing our real uniforms. Especially prime time games.

People last year kept saying "oh well thats Brian Kelly's call". "The players enjoy it, whats the big deal"

You have to put championships on the wall before you start dictating traditions. Players and staff come and go.

Amen. 80's and 90's were dark times in that color combo. I don't care for it either.

Pre NIL, this may have had some traction. But now, these kids are being paid to play. They should have to wear the uniform that the school dictates. How much say do NFL players have about the uniforms they wear?

we wore white helmets too much last year.

Who should? The last people on the list of who should be entitled to dictate what the players wear are the fans

It’s not like we’re wearing wild shite like Oregon. It’s the same template with different colors. The outrage on this is overwrought.

Nah, Gold pants and helmet with purple jerseys was the only alternate through most of my life.

That's old news.

Players prefer the all white or the white helmet, purple jersey, white pants combo .
