So for us uninformed, how does the Heisman trophy work?
I thought the individual got the trophy and some donate it to the school. Is that incorrect?

As noted above, 2 Heisman trophy’s are created. 1 for the winner and 1 for their respective school. During financial hardships, the following winners sold their Heisman:
Paul Hornung Notre Dame
O.J. Simpson USC
Billy Sims Oklahoma
Charles White USC
Rashaan Salaam Colorado
Tim Brown Notre Dame
Ricky Williams. Texas
Billy Cannon. LSU

Folks need to calm down. This was his Mom’s doing. She’s a narcissistic blowhard (ask Kayshon). Jayden is already walking it all back. He realizes it was an overreaction by his Mom. Things will be smoothed over and all will be forgiven (except by some of the hotheads on this board!)

Certainly seems that way. She is his Agent. And some of the language of the letter mixed with Jayden's IG post today certainly make it seems like they (he) were not expecting this level of blow back
