I wonder why Wade won't meet with the NCAA present?

Earl asserts in his letter that NCAA investigators pressured him into making allegations.
“The NCAA basically told me if they didn’t find any ‘wrongdoing’ that I would only be awarded one year left of my college career,” wrote Earl, who arrived at KU in January 1997.
“They said, ‘If we don’t find any dirt on coach Brown, you won’t be allowed to play but one more year at Kansas. … If we do find out wrongdoing by coach Brown, you will be able to play two and a half more seasons.'”
Earl wrote he told the NCAA “some little things,” including that LSU gave him money.
“I was pressured into telling them SOMETHING,” Earl wrote.
Lester Earl apologizes

Well yea. Only a moron would speak to the NCAA when he isn’t under investigation and is a witness in an upcoming trial.
Only a moron AD would ask that of his coach

Why won't the Kansas coach meet with them

And THIS is how the NCAA avoids catching the blue bloods while hammering others. You play for a blue blood school, they won’t pressure you (bribe you) to implicate wrong-doing in exchange for eligibility.
You play for a school that is a threat to the blue bloods, you get bribed.
Someone at the NCAA should go to prison for bribery.

This crap is EXACTLY the point people keep missing. I don't know how many times I've said it, and I again argued with some Auburn fan in another thread today, that the NCAA is a gestapo organization, and that is why Wade's attorney's wanted nothing to do with letting Wade speak to LSU with the NCAA on the phone. Not to mention, LSU's administration seems determined to show cause to fire Wade (why they would WANT to fire a successful coach without hard evidence is anyone's guess), without having to pay him.

Because whatever he says, especially if reinstated will be made public.
Now he has created a story that the defense attorney in the criminal proceeding will use as a roadmap to attempt to discredit him and set a trap for perjury.
The defense attorney who released this tape is trying to show that his client is not the bad person and is being unfairly prosecuted. He is trying to show the real bad guys are the schools, coaches, NCAA and shoe companies who are profiting and participants in this. His goal is to make coaches like Wade look bad.
You don’t hem yourself into a story with prior statements that can be used Against you and investigated before you testify so that a perjury trap can be set for you.

and you think that would happen to a 36 year old coach with his council there?
You cant get away with shite like that in the internet age anyway.
Trust me, i would know!

There are individuals from other NCAA schools involved in this investigation. Wade cannot give the NCAA any information about this case that they can then take and use for their own purposes that could possibly damage or alter it. It’s not very difficult to understand why Wade is being advised against discussing the case with a party who’s very invested in it. What if the NCAA used information Wade gave them to provide cover to one of the other schools are coaches involved? What if they went the opposite way and went after someone already cooperating? What if they took the information to cover their own messes or problems they could potentially have?

And only a moron like Lesterearl can't seem to understand this.
Deep down though I almost believe he does, but he loves going against the grain.

I understand it.
I also understand why not meeting with LSU prevents him from coaching too.
You don't. Because you are biased and in denial, and do not understand accountability.

Alleva, if he had a single iota of integrity, would resign effective immediately.
