I wish Russell Shepard got the chance to be our starting quarterback

I think he would have been good, and our offense could have been more dynamic

But Les was still the coach. I don’t think it would have mattered

Everyone and I mean everyone who saw him throw a football at LSU says he should have not been a QB.

Shepard would've put up insane numbers if he had signed with Oregon to play in Chip Kelly's offense.

I think he could have been a real dual threat

He couldn’t throw a spiral past 40 yds

Maybe at WR; not at QB.

Really wouldn't have mattered in Les' offense.

Mobile qb's did pretty well under Les, wouldn't have surprised me if RS would've been a decent QB if he'd gotten to work with a QB guru the summer before his freshman year and been allowed to focus on it. Shepard's made a fair amount of coin from playing the WR position, so I doubt he cares.

Jesus Christ another madden player. Let me try to explain something to you millennials who think just because a qb can run then that makes them a starter. If the defense knows said player can’t hit the broad side of a barn standing still in practice how do you think said defense plays??? Load the line stop the run and make him beat you trying to throw with the defense chasing him and him running for his life. PLEASE STOP WITH THIS RUNNING QB shite. Unless they are accurate passers in the pocket and on the run it doesn’t work. Burrow made all his runs because the defense was scared shitless he would torch them down field and left running room. It’s wasn’t because he could simply run. PLEASE STOP

He didn’t even complete 60 percent of his passes in high school.

One of the best examples ever on how Miles was arguably the best recruiter in the country to sell the shite he did and consistently got amazing talent like this on offense to sell into it.

I saw Russell play several times in high school. He was a horrible passer (not accurate) and got away with a lot it in high school because of his athletic ability and some great WRs. I never thought he would be a QB beyond high school.

Don’t even try. I tried to explain to these ppl why TJ Finley couldn’t make it at QB at LSU and all they was call me names.
Finley has cinder blocks for feet and is not accurate with any pressure at all on him and he is a poor leader. But no one wanted to hear it.

I mean he had no chance of being an NFL quarterback and he played for seven years as a special teams and wide receiver. I think he pretty much maxed out his abilities regardless of what he did at LSU

His ceiling at that position was Brandon Harris.

His ceiling at WR was the NFL.
