Win loss is a team stat. I've cherry picked nothing.

Even if you wanted to blame schedule, TJ is the one who got punished there.

The bulk of Max's stats are against an AWFUL Ole Miss pass defense

Go back and review some prior tapes against opponents in 2019 when the game was well in hand for LSU...Utah St, Northwestern, even the Aggies...Myles was picking up 1st downs ON THE GROUND!

Also against an awful Florida pass defense and against Auburn when they were up by 45 and decided to clear their bench.

Saying Brennan has a slightly better arm than Max is like saying Josh Allen has a slightly better arm than Drew Brees. And this theory that being more mobile is better than having the ability to stretch defenses is also false. You want the guy who forces the defense to guard the whole field. Brennen was one of the best downfield passers in the country before he got hurt and that trumps being able to scramble once or twice. Brennan was more productive in every way and the offense put up more points when he was starting. It’s that simple. You can bring up Florida but the defense accounted for 2 of those TDs. You can bring up 3rd downs but we ran the ball on a lot of those conversions yet the team stat is falsely placed on Brennan. We even completed a few of those 3rd downs short of the marker then went for it on 4th and got it so it’s a very misleading stat.

I doubt he starts but if he can improve and earns the spot as opposed it’s his turn , then I’ll support him, but I don’t think he’ll start

Brennan is definitely going to be the starter. Let’s just hope he can learn to be clutch because that was all he was lacking. Dude can sling it.

If you're talking about mizzou, we had absolutely no run game and the red zone play calling was pure shite. I'm hesitant to put that all on him.

Playcalling there was absolute trash. We backed ourselves into a corner because of the early down playcalling.

bring up 3rd downs

What you need to factor in is in the game v Mizzou Brennan was no doubt in severe pain more than half the game, and was limited on 3rd down situations. No one knew that at the time, and I remember giving him grief for being unable to convert on four tries from inside the 1.

Before the injury LSU was playing well and achieved a 24-14 lead.

Sounds like Brennan

I love how you cherry picked and omitted his down field accuracy and touch.

Joe burrow lacked arm strength. I’m not gonna cherry pick that.

If you think Ole Miss is a valid pass defense, I don't know what I can say..

Myles has a cannon and he was spot on when throwing deep balls to Marshal. The receivers were mostly freshmen so many times there was no open receiver and the OL was sporadic.

Now take Marshall out of that equation and you've got Johnson's situation. Max was a better leader and a more poised competitor as a freshman.

Coach Cregg and the OL better have their shite together to keep him upright.

At this point, nobody knows how that rare injury is going to respond when he takes a hit.

Better hope that Dellinger is the real deal as a True Freshman and can come in and EARN a starting spot during Fall camp..........

Brennan has 10x the arm Max has.

So that means he has 25x the arm that Tim Tebow had and, oh, 85x the arm that Danny Wuerffel had. Those guys did okay.

I was legit curious so I went back and watched his snaps from the A&M game. He didn’t run once—the stats confirm this. LINK

That was the only one I actually watched but I did check the rest of his stats. In 2019 he rushed 9 times for 41 yards with a long of 9.

Ok, not awful, but this certainly doesn’t indicate he can do this regularly against SEC competition. The only time he tried last year, he got hurt.

Doesn’t inspire confidence in his running ability. You can call designed running plays with Max. You can’t with Myles.

Both can be coached, and he was a freshman. I’m not bothered by it. And he definitely had pretty good touch on his TD pass to Jenkins against UF. Already a lot to work with there.

Athleticism/mobility cannot be coached. I am bothered by that.

Hell of a lot of pressure. Good thing Max already has this.
