Based on what?

Based on the fact that he opportunities to do it against Ms St and Missouri and didn’t!
Max had 2 chances to come back and win the game without our teams top 2 WRs. He did it both times!

It's literally espns passing stats without the game score.

I'm trying to find the situational stats for max to compare but brennans actually looks like what you'd expect.

His 3rd and mid yardage stats are good. His 3rd and long is rough but that's to be expected

Do you honestly think that Myles had the same team that Max did? Meaning, do you think LSU played as hard in the first 3 games as they did in the last 2?

I don't understand this perception of "lack of mobility." I remember before this last season he was scrambling and pulled off a couple of lengthy runs in limited action in 2019.

He can move good enough.

He just doesn't run like max johnson.

Myles - 88.78
Max - 87.99
TJ - 139.03

nobody hates Brennan. Some of us just don't think he's the best QB on the team.

Some just think that Max Johnson and even Finley, as returning sophomores, are probably going to naturally take a significant step forward. As such, it's probably reasonable to think there is a decent chance that one of them (probably Max) is playing near the level that Brennan is.

Despite what so many people here pretend, Brennan was never playing at stud level. He was a little disappointing at first with his pocket presence and inability to let the ball go. He was showing signs of improving on all of those things. And, to his credit, he put up big numbers and a lot of big plays.

It's reasonable to project Brennan to becoming a much better player than he showed last year. But, it's not a guarantee. And, he definitely wasn't at that level before the injury.

Unfortunately a freshman looked better and won more than him last year,

WTF, dude, selective memory. Brennan had one bad quarter in the first game then posted great numbers after that until he got hurt. The offense was posting 30+ points a game or something. Brennan looked better than Joe Burrow at the same point in their career. People forget how bad Burrow was in his first game against Miami.

That’s cherry picking isn’t it?

Bottom line for me: Max can run and make something out of nothing, which is what made Joe Burrow so lethal.

And in his first ever start, as a true freshman, he went into the swamp, led multiple scoring drives, didn’t turn the ball over, and beat the #6 team in the country. That’s more important to me than stat padding against inferior competition.
