I just said it.

2016 minus 5 = 2011

holy shite you people are stupid.

can't possibly fire O in the midst of the most embarrassing shite storm of a season in a generation, but damn right Miles should have been run off DURING A SEASON HE PLAYED FOR A TITLE.

les was an idiot who refused to make changes and it is why i told people we would never win shite again with him post 1-9. O changed and got it done. now are we still exposed as he has to keep relying on OC and DC because he cannot call one side of the ball? yes. O's style can win titles and crash and burn quickly being so dependent. at least with O you have a shot again. with miles there was zero shot. apathy had hit a high never seen here before with miles for years before they ran his arse off.

unless O is run off for cause he will get a shot to fix this.

Fact Of the matter is LSU was trending upwards since O arrived. Every year
Then last year happened.

A series of shitty things happened (some his fault some not) and you have what we have this year.

It’s easy to win at LSU
O will right the ship.

Calm down.

Les took a Lamborghini that Saban left him here and crashed it into a ditch.

Took that lambo straight to the national title ditch and was back for another shot at it four years later with a team that would have won if the media weren’t playing favorites to sign on for the rematch

Les needed to go but it’s idiotic to pretend we were an embarrassment from 2005-2011. We weren’t even an embarrassment after that, just a lot more average.

if you are referring to clock management yes it does, you just don't notice since you are not invested in other teams aka myopic

SEC record tells the tale of the status of the program:

2015: 9-3 (5-3)
2016: 8-4 (5-3)
2017: 9-3 (6-2 with OOC loss to Troy)
2018: 9-3 (5-3)

So no, it wasn’t

For new coaches, that appears correct. It also gets much more difficult the longer a coach stays, apparently.

That doesn’t bode well for this program right now.

as opposed to somehow trading the Lambo for a flat bottom and somehow beaching it on a rapidly shrinking floaton like we are now?

I agree with you for sure. Les didn’t have to deal with Covid or opt outs either. Ppl can say what they want about coach O but that man had to deal with a lot this year.

Covid
No camps to help with recruiting
No unofficial or official visits to help with recruiting
He lost 34 guys from his championship team
Lost the PGC and DC really wasn’t able to do a DC search.
Lost a lot of coaches besides positional coaches.
A lot of transfers
Starting qb gets hurt
Just a bad year for LSU we will bounce back GEAUX TIGERS
