I've heard a couple stories about Les from at least 2 different sources close to his football office that he wasn't all that he's cracked up to be personality wise either. If you think O taking a picture with a 35 year old was inappropriate, just be glad Les' skeletons never came out in public

You're probably right, but my point is that Les was kept around longer than he should've been imo because the public thought he was such a "great guy". I've been told the opposite by more than a couple people.

Plus, he didn't exactly handle the pandemic or social issues well at all either. Noone really paid attention though because he's up in BFE Kansas

[1] Second winningest coach in school history.
[2] Highest percentage of wins in school history.
[3] Highest percentage of sec and top 25 wins in school history.
[4] Made 3 BC bowls with a 2-1 record.
[5] 2 SEC championships (most by any coach, tied with Nick Saban )
[6] Played for 2 NCs ( most by any coach in school history)
[7] 1 NC (most by any coach in school history, tied with Saban, Orgeron and Dietzel )
[8] Most wins against Nick Saban as Alabama coach (3 tied with Gus Malzahn)

The way he was pulled out of the bus while returning from Auburn and fired....was bad Karma!

Remember the bad old days when going 10-3 and 9-4 was not good enough.

Les Miles would still be here today if he wasn't so damned stubborn and unwilling to adapt. Alot of our fanbase bust his chops and rake him over the coals, but you can't say anything about the competitive nature and toughness of his players. Also, he coached here 11 years without any scandals that we know of...

Nice. See if he’ll let you have a sleep over with him.

You can maybe miss how he ran his program as a whole, but I sure don’t miss that goofy SOB. That being said, I wasn’t high on the O hire from the get go, had come to think he had gotten it together and then now has washed it down the drain.

Say what you want about Les but he always kept us respectable and never made us a national embarrassment

This.

All of you folks who disagree bring up embarrassing on-field issues as if O hasn’t had his share of those as well.

Les didn’t end some of the best streaks in school history, though.

Les had no losing seasons.

Les never presided over a postseason ban.

Screw Miles I’m glad that idiot is gone. I’ll take a NC with a few bad seasons than 9-3 every year with never a chance of an NC

In a A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME against Bama, offense could not get past midfield. Pretty respectable huh?

He needed to go, but at the same time Ed should have never been hired.

My biggest fear was that we'd build a statue of him since he won more games than any previous coach, got a natty, and stayed 11 years.

Uh, Charles McClendon, not Les Miles, is the winningest coach in LSU history.

Didn’t most of the title IX violations happen under his watch?
