That’s kinda the whole point. Les was smart enough not to cause a shite storm by having his skeletons cone out in public.

It didn’t fall out because we stepped in before it could. It was going to fall out in 2016 with him.

Also les managed to embarrass us with clock mismanagement that had never been seen before or since. It specifically cost us twice vs ole miss.

Also don’t forget that OLOL happened under miles watch as did a chunk of the title ix cases.

Miles would have gone 7 and 3 this year and folks would have still been pulling their hair out.

No, because he was stopped from doing that 2016 was well on its way.

Also with les there is no joe burrow, there is no undefeated greatest team ever. The offense would suck even worse with freshmen qbs.

Les over stayed his time and the program had rotted all over under him. It was time to go.

7-3 would have been perfectly acceptable this year after last year and the kids that left.

However, under miles 7-3 would be that way but no national title team in the prior year

Yes it was 100 percent. I will take a NC, sec title and Heisman winner over 4 more 9 win meaningless seasons.

O and les winning titles proves that LSU is one of the top destinations for a coach, we can win with legit retards running the program.

True. However, Les would never win a National Championship or have the season we had in 2019. There is a reason he went 3 years without a HC offer.

Again, 3 years without a single HC offer, and he resorts to coaching at Kansas. Try again.

Miles was a 5 year firing process. Don’t miss that.

Anyone who wanted Miles gone before mid 2014, and there were many, was a completely blinded by hate bitch. Even that was likely a bit too early.

2015 was really the only legit shot to fire him. I still thought he deserved a shot with that 2014 class in 2016, but would have been ok with it if we had a legit replacement lined up in Jimbo. I could have seen the value in making that move.

But of course Alleva bungled that and that whole drama only set him up to fail in 2016.

There were valid concerns in 08 and one big red mark in 09 at OM, but beating Meyer and Saban in 2010 and the 2011 run had given him more than enough slack to make it through another really good 2012 and a decent 2013 where it looked like the offense was getting better.

Even QB looked solidified with two highly touted prospects on the roster going into 2014. That became clear very quickly that they weren’t the answer but just more of the same though, so again midway through 2014 was the first real moment when things looked to be over and time to move on.

It’s crazy that if it weren’t for the Meyer machine at UF and the Saban dynasty at Bama Miles very likely has two back to back championship runs in 06-07 and 11-12 and who knows what happens after that.

The two best coaches in modern CFB history were all that stopped goofy ol Les from being considered in that conversation. Pretty damn strong imo.

there is also a reason Joe Alleva was the only AD in America that would even so much as give O an interview, let alone a head coaching gig.

Say what you want about Les but he always kept us respectable and never made us a national embarrassment

Is this a joke? Spiking the ball with one second? The Tennessee cluster frick?

You’re comparing two split second cluster fricks in seasons where we finished 9-4 and 11-2 with this slow motion castration we’re suffering through right now??

Never change, Derek
