oh, I'm sorry, I thought we were talking about how things affected the team.
I didn't realize that this was about your personal experiences, my bad.

a season he lost to 3 top 10 teams by 1 score 2 on basically the last play, some of you don't have a clue how the world works

if your are referring to 1/9/12, the BCSCG vs Alabama, it was a bad loss, that happens to everyone at some point

I have a secret, and, here it is:

Coach Les Miles would LOVE to return to Baton Rouge as the LSU football Head Coach.

Blee dat.

That stuff is bad (except eating the grass, I think people liked him for that) but I’ll match it with stuff O has done:

-Worst loss in program history to Mississippi State
-Worst loss in program history to Alabama
-Lost to Troy
-We Comin... to score zero points against Alabama for the second home game in a row
-Co-offensive coordinators (combined 119 years old)
-Allowed bedroom pics with Bailey to be taken
-Potentially was complicit in covering up rape
-Ended the longest bowl streak in the country
-Ended the longest home non-conference win streak in the country
-“The defense is better now than any point last season”
-Worst season ever by a defending national champion

Damn when you lay it all out there like that

It was his chance to turn around the debacle 0f the NCG. He allowed Bama to win and gut the the team. After the 2012 loss to Bama and Florida (ugly, ugly game) Les was done. It was a slow death afterward.

i don't really disagree, but thats much clearer in hindsight, you can not fire a coach after that season

Les should have been fired at the end of the season instead in the middle of next season!!!

“Well golly I’m just happy that he kept us respectable so I can get a little more self esteem from a bunch of college kids running around on a field even though the greatest season ever would’ve never happened in 2019”

I swear some of y’all have the most bizarre mindset. Miles football was BORING. He completely robbed me of my enjoyment of football for almost 5 years with his ridiculous 1971 offense and boring as watching paint dry defense. He took LSU for a ride on his contract and it was unbearable watching him speak.

College football is entertainment and I’ve gotten way more than my money’s worth since Ed O took over, for better and worse. I would never, ever take Miles and his boring bullshite back for 7-8 meaningless wins

You're getting down votes from hell because our fans are stupid.

I'm not an Orgeron proponent, but it is one season.

Just take a moment and think about all of the elite offense talent Miles wasted.

this is the stupidest thing posted on this board in a long while.

Keeping that buffoon around for as long as LSU did cost this program championships. I've talked to more Miles players than I can remember. None of them have great things to say about the guy's ability to coach a football team. And if you wanna play the morality game, "Les would never bang sluts". Well I've got some bad news for you there. At least O is single. Can't say the same for ole Leslie.

Here's a great story for you Miles lovers:

quote:

With Jasper taking extra warmups duting the timeout, he wasn't huddling with the field goal unit, so he didn't realize that Robinson - lovingly knows as "Joe Rob" - had called for the fake. It was a crucial piece of missing information as Jasper jogged back into the field a second time.

"For some reason, I turned around, and saw Joe Rob was calling me over," Jasper said. "So I ran back and he told me, 'Tiger! Tiger, Tiger!"

Turns out the holder Helton wasn't aware of the fake either.

"I ran out to the spot and told him, "Dude, we're running the fake.' And Derek looked at me like, "Are you kidding?' It caught him off guard too.

"On the plane ride home after we won, I remember thinking, "How do you almost not tell the two most important people on the play?"

Orgeron has improved in the one aspect that played a major role in Miles being fired, beating Arkansas and Ole Miss. O hasn't done it yet in year 4 but it looks like it might happen next week finally.

I’m certainly more entertained by this season than I was by an 8-win Miles season and it isn’t even close.

Miles football was not entertainment. The only people who appreciated it were the ones who were desperately clinging to consistent mediocrity in a meaningless kids’ game for some weird psychological reason that none of them can actually explain.

College football doesn’t matter enough in my eyes for me to get upset about the difference between an 8-win failure of a season and a (in a normal year where we were given 3 cupcake wins) 7-win failure of a season. It’s just not relevant. I either want SEC and national championships or entertainment and change.

Miles took our program hostage and forced us to watch paint dry for 6 fricking years. He was the worst thing imaginable to happen to our program from an entertainment standpoint, and that’s all that really matters to me if we’re not elite.

A look at les miles:

05 inherits a great team poised for a run, Katrina and Rita frick that up pretty bad but still a good season. The UT loss was pretty embarrassing but it is what it is.

06 great team with a high powered O and he almost backed into the title game with a 2 loss team had he won the west. Losing to auburn 7-3 with how our offense was was pretty bad.

07 national title, did have two losses that shouldn’t have happened. Kentucky is more forgivable than arky

08- terrible down year with bad dc hire, he corrects that.

09- defense is better offense sucks

10- we went weeks without a TD pass, especially our starter who went like 7 games at one point without a TD pass.

11- assembled second greatest LSU team and proceeds to not be prepared at all for bama.

12- les actually is a screen pass away from the sec title game and if he wins that a sure second national title.

13 is where the les drop really started

By 16 he was well on his way to a bad season after the auburn loss.

No reason to miss Les, he brought us some great times and he even kept the car mostly up until he started to take it in the ditch. O took it from the ditch and got us to the top of the mountain and now is off-roading us down the side of it

The big thing O has improved is QB recruiting. I know this season looks like more of the same with Brennan being hurt but going forward we have more talent in the QB than he did since 2006
