I love TM7 as much as the next guy but it's obvious Claiborne is our best DB

TM7 makes a lot of dynamic plays but Claiborne is just a beast in coverage and also makes his fair share of plays.

Probably the most valuable player on the defense

Mathieu always has and always will struggle 1 on 1 with bigger receivers.

Always laughed at the people who think he's a better CB than Peterson or Claiborne

This doesn't diminish the fact that he's an awesome nickelback/rover.

Is there anyone who thought he was better as a pure cover corner?

Did anyone not think that Claiborne was a better cover corner than Mathieu?

Thanks for the obvious thread, with that said, Mathieu is still a pretty good cover corner

Nah.....just unlike someone simple minded as you, I undserstand the difference between comparing strictly a cover corner to a defensive back. Funny how you bandwagoner Mo fans jump on him after he has a great game and Mathieu doesn't. You forget the times Mo gave up big TD plays or whiffed on tackles.

Mo will be a better pro CB most likely, due to his size and speed. Doesn't mean he's a better db than Mathieu in college. Part of the equation is being a playmaker like TM. Strictly as a DB, Reid could be in the discussion.

PM, your not as smart as you think you are.

Mo's a better cover guy, Tyrann's a better DB and our defensive MVP.

Size matters. Determination can make up some ground. But, going up against physical receivers who are 6'2 and above, TM7 will lose 7 out of 10 times. Just saying!

Yep. Taylor too, even.

None of us are, I imagine.

But Powerman does seem pretty knee-jerk with a lot of his football threads.

One thing that seems gets lost in the shuffle is the only reason TM is afford to make the plays that he does is because of how good the rest of the defense is

Incredible player...not Heisman worthy

TM7 - awesome X factor player in Nickel.

MC - every down cover corner. Among the best in the game.

It's not like this is his first great game

He had a great game defensively against MSU and turned the tide in the WVU game
