And the fact if you disagree with him, his go to come back is you're stupid. Insecure people always do that instead of debating.

Tyrann is our 3rd best CB ... but possibly the best football player on the team.

Exactly

Mathieu is great at what he does and he's as dynamic as any player in the country. But, just like Pat last year, Mo is far more valuable to the defense

Or maybe it's hyperbole for the sake of humor?

As an every down cover corner Claiborne is our best guy. He has also been making clutch pass breakups and INTs

TM7 is put in a position to make plays closer to the line of scrimmage because we have corners and safeties who can get it done on their end.

Cover maybe but not overall. Mathieu is still the best overall because he does more. He forces fumbles, is still very good in coverage, blitzes, and sticks his nose in for the run. Claiborne's tackling is inconsistent.

Caliborne/Simon/Taylor/Reid all give Mathieu the opportunity to be the beast he is because he can afford to take gambles. Not to mention Montgomery is our most complete dlineman, IMO.

Claiborne is our best cover corner, but not our best DB. Mo will have a great NFL career and will more than likely be drafted ahead of TM7, but Mathieu is the best player on the entire team. He makes more game-changing plays than just about anyone in LSU history.

I don't think you can argue he is the best player on the team. The type of plays that he makes don't happen every week. He could go the rest of the season without a forced fumble for all we know.

Claiborne is probably one of the 1st three corners picked in this years draft if he comes out.

From a athlete standpoint, not at all.

- He is second on the team with 42 tackles (B. Taylor has 44).
- He is tied for second on the team with two INTs.
- He is second on the team with five tackles for loss (Mingo/Montgomery both have 5.5) and leads the team in TFL yardage with 32 yards lost.
- He leads the team with three fumble recoveries
- He leads the team with four forced fumbles (the rest of the team has four combined).
- He has scored both of our defensive touchdowns this season.
- He is a sure-handed punt returner, averaging 7.9 yards per return

The kid is a monster and must be accounted for on all plays. He is the definition of a defensive playmaker.

Not from a height or passing ability standpoint either, genius. Since when does athleticism = best player?

Mo is a pure NFL cover corner... TM7 is an NFL safety

I could see him playing either safety or staying in his nickel back position.

he was 5-8.5 barefoot
he was over 200 lbs
he ran a 4.36, 40
he had a 41.5" vertical leap
