FALSE They had to recover it to have a chance to win the game. Our recovery denied them ANY chance to win.

Accurate statement.

I will, however, never understand for the life of me, why Aranda had us in a press man defense up two scores with under 2 minutes to play. Just dumb!!!

Still wish somebody would give an explanation for this. I’m not saying it was the wrong thing to do, but it sure seemed like the wrong thing to do…and it seems really obvious. Perhaps I’m just missing the nuances of how to coach defense when you’re up by 2 scores with 2 minutes to play.

Not with the ball, they weren’t. They never had the ball with a chance to tie or win in the 4th quarter.

I live in AL with these deliverance homers. My whole family is from NOLA. LSU alums. They are talking $hit already. This could easily be another shootout. I will take the #1 Offense in the land. JD5 Express over Milroe. Hell, he is not even as good as Young and we still beat their a$$e$. We will win and I'm keeping my mouth shut till game time. JD5 will be sending blue darter bombs all night that they will show up on the radar. F BAMA.

They never had the ball with a chance to tie or win after we went up 26-13 in the 2Q.

That guy looks like every single 60 year old, 20 ACT man in the deep south with that slight underbite smile.

Most definitely had a swoop and rushed Pike at 20 years old

Yes, but never with the ball. Not as close as it might seem.

Still one the greatest 2 minute stretches in LSU history. Started off with Moss’ toe touch grab, then Clyde’s TD, Queen’s INT, and a Clyde wheel TD to cap it off right before the halftime buzzer. I think anyone watching that game knew were winning the national championship after that sequence. Legendary

We had to recover an onside kick to win the game. I'm not sure it could be considered an arse kicking

I can think of 3 times we kicked their arse between 2010 and 2020. and only 1 resulted in a win.

Two defensive breakdowns for long touchdowns and a long, somewhat flukey punt return for a touchdown. Aside from those scores it was a 59-minute, 46-21 arse-kicking. Period.

Motherfricking this!

And don’t forget that lil bitch D. Smith couldn’t beat Stingley straight up so the gumps had to resort to a “quick snap” as Stingley had his head turned.

The score does not represent the skull fricking that went on that night. And the gumps know it
